And what better way to start the new year than to see how interesting the number 2025 really is. Among other things,

(1) Split up the number 2025 into the two numbers 20 and 25. Now, 20 + 25 = 45 and 45^2 = 2025. ("45^2" means "45 raised to the 2nd power" or "45 squared.") In other words, 2025 is a perfect square. The last time the year was a perfect square was 1936. The next time the year will be a perfect square will be 2116.

(2) The digit sum of the number 2025 is equal to 9. In other words, 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 9. The sum of the first 9 perfect cubes is equal to 2025. (Just as a '2' exponent means "squared," in the same way a '3' exponent means "cubed.")

Can you think of any other interesting properties of the number 2025?
