When I made the schedule for the Lightworkers Laboratory back in May, I giggled when I realized one of our calls would fall right on top of the Full Moon in Capricorn just as Mercury would go retrograde.
I giggled because I understand Mercuryˋs trickster ways.
Even though I know the days ahead might kick up some debris, I also know I’ll find a few golden nuggets.
During Mercury Retrograde (June 29 to July 23) we can expect delays with anything related to communication and information exchange because this is what Mercury represents.
This means delays with technology such as phones, computers, and satellites.
The information transmitted through this technology transmits meaning, care, and currency so when it glitches, we feel it (e.g. transportation, banking, health care).
Mercury doesn’t create these delays just for fun (though that’s debatable 😉).
As a naturally reoccuring pattern, retrogrades remind us that just like everything in nature, we need to pause and take regular opportunities to reflect to learn and grow.
As humans, we often need to be gently nudged by life circumstances to actually take a pause.
Before our Lightworkers Laboratory call, I could sense we should cancel, but even with all the work Iˋve done on the topic of energy management, it wasnˋt easy.
But then each member shared an example of how Mercury was pulling them back from actually being able to attend:
🎓Two members, each at different schools, had to miss the call for the same reason: graduation.
😣Another felt under the weather and had to tap out of the call
🗓Another had spent the day chasing a schedule with appointments that never manifested, and so the call not happening just made sense
🚙Another had been driving all day and welcomed the break
And then another described feeling “slammed” and had already been thinking of saying they wouldn’t be able to attend anyway.
And then there’s me.
🇰🇷I'm on my way to Korea to close up the twenty years I’ve lived there.
Since 2005, I’ve been visiting Canada knowing I’d return to Korea. But this time it's the reverse (you see Mercury winking at us?): I’m visiting Korea, saying goodbye to the land that held me for so long, to return to Canada.
It’s a trickster’s paradise! Schedules, flights, currency.
Of course, I had to listen to the voice in my head that kept whispering: “Make an executive decision. Postpone the call.”
So after receiving confirmation from a group member, I officially canceled the call (see the screenshot).
No one felt cheated. In fact, most were grateful.
I could express myself honestly and everyone understood.
This was the golden nugget.
And so during this Mercury Retrograde, I encourage you to embrace the delays.
