The children have been learning "5 Little Sparrows" and "Each of Us Is a Flower" by Charlotte Diamond. From the costumes and props to the singing, they have been putting their whole hearts into every performance.

Watching them bring these songs to life with such enthusiasm, creativity, and confidence has been a joy. Their little voices, big smiles, and wonderful imaginations make every moment special.

And just like that, our Preschool Graduation Day is here.

What began as tiny boots on forest trails, curious questions, muddy hands, and new friendships has grown into a year filled with confidence, wonder, resilience, and unforgettable memories.

Today we celebrate each child’s journey with handcrafted wildflower graduation hats, nature animal necklaces, special certificates, and meaningful forest stations designed to honour all they have accomplished. But the true celebration is not found in the keepsakes—it is found in the growth we have witnessed. The bravery to climb a little higher, the kindness shown to a friend, the curiosity to ask one more question, and the confidence to explore the world around them.

For many families, this is more than a graduation. It is a chance to pause and reflect on how much their child has grown throughout the year. The forest has been our classroom, but it has also been a place where friendships were built, imaginations flourished, and childhood was celebrated every single day.

We are so excited to share this special day with our families and our forest community. These moments become treasured memories, and we hope they remind us all just how magical these early years truly are.

Here’s to muddy boots, wild hearts, and the incredible adventures that still lie ahead. Congratulations, Graduates. Today, we celebrate you.

Sunshine, a campfire, s’mores, beach time, and lots of fun playing in the sand made for a wonderful day together!

We had a fantastic group picnic and are so grateful to all the families who came out and joined us. Thank you for making the day so special with your smiles, laughter, and great company.

We can't wait to do it all again at next year's annual picnic! ❤️

School Agers Sports Day

What a fantastic Sports Day we had with our School Agers!

We started the day by making fresh lemonade from scratch and enjoying juicy watermelon before jumping into a variety of sports and team challenges. Children worked together with the parachute, created colourful chalk pictures and spent time exploring the playground and splash park.

The laughter, teamwork, encouragement, and excitement throughout the day made it a memorable celebration of movement, friendship, and outdoor play.

To make the day even more special, we welcomed our dads and special people to join us at the last hour. Together, we shared root beer floats and enjoyed a fun game to wrap up the day.

All three of our Sports Day celebrations across our classes were a huge success.

Thank you to all of our families for helping make these special days so meaningful for our forest community. We loved seeing the children challenge themselves, cheer each other on, and simply bring kids!

Little Wise Owls Outdoor Learning is seeking reliable and enthusiastic on-call substitutes for the 2026–2027 school year.

Do you enjoy working with children, spending your days outdoors, and supporting nature-based learning in all weather? We are looking for individuals who can step in when staff are away due to illness, appointments, or other absences.

Ideal for ECEs, ECEAs, Responsible Adults, Education Assistants, or those with experience working with children.
