Imagine trying to make therapeutic progress when you don’t feel safe. It’s almost impossible.

Making a child feel safe in therapy is the key to any future progress. When they feel secure, they open up, trust builds, and therapy begins. Rushing the process won’t work: safety comes first, always. Take the time to create a space where they feel seen, heard, and protected, because connection grows where safety exists.

I'm really enjoying writing (obsessed might be a better word) my next book 'Beyond Language.' I realise now that many parents would like too it as it explains some of the anomalies in their child's communication skills. So many tell me their child has great language skills yet some days can only growl or talk in a babyish way. It's all about 'access'
