The halls are filled with excitement, laughter and smiles all around. Staff and students are busy making connections, learning routines and most importantly, having fun. This year is going to be filled with excitement, learning new skills, and setting and achieving new goals.
Due to our staggered entry, the first half of our Kindergarten class starts tomorrow; we can not wait to see more smiling faces.

We held our end-of-the-year awards for grades K-6 on Wednesday. Students were recognized for their many achievements and successes throughout the school year. Congratulations to all of our students for all of your growth and hard work!

Today we held our “Volunteer Tea”. We wanted to show our appreciation to our wonderful volunteers today. Our school would not be able to function without our dedicated volunteers.
Their commitment to our students and staff is so appreciated.
They not only volunteer their time to build relationships with our students, they make a difference in our school culture and environment.
Thank you for everything that you do for our school and community.

National Indigenous Peoples Day was on June 21st; however, our school recognized and celebrated Indigenous cultures and traditions today. Students listened to and discussed Indigenous stories that highlighted the importance of connection to the Earth, the land, and all living things. They also participated in a variety of traditional games, including Inuit Walrus Back-to-Back Pushing, Inuit Seal Racing, Hoop Toss, Indigenous Bone Pull, and the Blackfoot game Run and Scream. Through these stories and activities, students gained a deeper understanding of the meaning behind each game and learned about different Indigenous cultures in ways that were physical, engaging, and fun.

Bus Service Notice: We have been informed that overland flooding is affecting some roads in the Lac Ste Anne area. This may affect other areas as well. Some bus runs may need to be cancelled tomorrow due to the flooding. Students writing Diploma Exams on Monday should be prepared to make alternative arrangements to arrive at school. Any bus cancelations will be posted here and on ngps.ca.
