Rocking the WorkSource Alliance merch like a true professional. Say Hello to Maple! ๐ŸŽ‰

We didn't even have to tell him what to wear on day one, he already knew the dress code. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

WorkSource Alliance was pleased to attend the Open Doors Summerside Lunch & Learn yesterday, hosted by the BIPOC Business & Professional Network (BIPOC BPN ), CBDC Central PEI (CBDC Central PEI) , Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce Summerside Chamber Of Commerce) , Consolidated Credit Union, Provincial Immigration Partnership, Immigrant & Refugee Services Association of PEI (Immigrant & Refugee Services Association PEI ) and PEI Connectors (PEI Connectors).

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with community leaders, organizations, and professionals who are helping shape and strengthen Prince Edward Islandโ€™s economy. We were excited to hear from guest speaker Mayor Dan Kutcher, who shared insights on community growth and development.

Throughout the event, representatives from various organizations spoke about the importance of diversity, inclusion, and creating opportunities for newcomers and underrepresented communities across the Island.

We were also inspired by Angelaโ€™s immigration journey, which highlighted the resilience, determination, and contributions of newcomers to PEI.

Thank you to Dr. Shamara Baidoobonso, PhD for presenting the launch of the BIPOC BPN's BIPOC Integration Plan Needs Assessment and Action Planning initiative. Her presentation highlighted an important step toward understanding the experiences of BIPOC communities and building a more inclusive and welcoming future for all Islanders.

Thank you to the organizers for bringing together meaningful conversations, valuable connections, and collaborative efforts that continue to strengthen our communities.
