🧡 Today, we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Kris and Chuchi joined the Orange Shirt Day gathering hosted by the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI, Lennox Island First Nation, and the Government of PEI, representing WorkSource Alliance as we came together to remember, listen, learn, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Today and every day, we encourage our community to listen to Indigenous voices, learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, and reflect on what reconciliation means within our communities.

May we lead with compassion, humility, and love as we continue to learn from one another and walk together toward truth and reconciliation.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

🎉 BLK Pan-Atlantic Networking Event Recap!

WorkSource Alliance was delighted to attend and engage at the Black Women In Excellence Networking Event here in Charlottetown! 💜

The Idea to Income Pan-Atlantic Project brought together established and aspiring Black women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and changemakers from PEI and beyond, hosted by the Black Cultural Society of PEI in partnership with BLK Women in Excellence (NS).

Highlights included a moderated panel discussion led by Tia Upshaw, Founder and CEO of BLK Women in Excellence, featuring four Black women entrepreneurs sharing their journeys and business insights as well as resources to help attendees propel their businesses forward. It was a wonderful evening of great conversations, food, and connections.
