😂🎨 A RARE PHOTO OF ERIKA WITH AN EMTY CHAIR… 🎨😂

We’re pretty sure this photo captured the last second of peace Erika had for the entire Turkey Trot. 😂

This was taken before the doors opened… and once those kids came in, IT. WAS. ON. 🎨🖌️

Erika’s face-painting station was definitely a HOT COMMODITY! There was a lineup pretty much the entire time, and she just kept painting face… after face… after face. 😂 From superheroes to animals and everything in between, she absolutely rocked it!

And we have to give a shoutout to all the kiddos too — they were SO patient, waiting their turns in line because apparently everyone knew Erika was worth the wait! ❤️

Erika, THANK YOU for volunteering your time and being so incredibly patient, kind and amazing with every single child who sat in your chair. You helped make the day extra special for so many kids. 🥹❤️

We hope your painting hand has recovered because…

👀 We’re going to have to secure you for next year’s Turkey Trot before someone else books you. 😂📝

🍂🦃 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY! 🦃🍂

Our Curious Kidz Preschool Turkey Trot & Fall Family Fun Day was such a success, and we honestly cannot say THANK YOU enough! ❤️

The biggest thank you goes to our amazing community for SHOWING UP for us. 🥹 Whether you came for the walk, brought your children to enjoy the activities, bought a fun pass, entered our raffles, guessed the weight of the turkey, or simply stopped by to support us — you made this event what it was.

As a small, community-supported preschool, events like this mean so much to us. Seeing so many families, friends, neighbours and familiar faces come through those doors reminded us just how fortunate we are to be part of a community that continues to rally around its kids. ❤️

We also want to give an enormous thank you to every single volunteer who donated their time to make the day possible. From helping set up and clean up, running games and activities, face painting, helping with food, registration, raffles and all the little jobs in between — you gave up part of your day simply to help our preschool. That generosity means more than you know. 🫶

And to everyone who donated supplies, prizes, food, materials or helped us prepare in the weeks leading up to the event — THANK YOU. So much of what you see in these pictures happened because people were willing to give their time, talents and resources.

Our Turkey Trot was about raising funds for Curious Kidz, but it ended up being an even better reminder of what makes Carrot River such a special place to raise our kids. 🍁❤️

Thank you, Carrot River, for showing up. Thank you for supporting local. Thank you for supporting our preschool. And most importantly, thank you for supporting our kids. 🥹

We had an AMAZING time, and we hope you did too!

🦃🍂 Until next year’s Turkey Trot! 🍂🦃

🦃🎨 Turkey Trot preparations are underway! 🎨🦃

We’ve been busy behind the scenes working together to bring our Turkey Trot games to life! From projecting and tracing the designs to painting every little detail, there has been a lot of teamwork, laughter, and paint involved. 😂❤️

A HUGE thank you to Riverside Co-op for generously donating the paint for our games, and to RONA in Nipawin for generously donating the wood! Your support helped us turn our ideas into something the kids and families can enjoy year after year. 🧡

As a small, volunteer-run preschool, community support like this means so much to us. We are incredibly fortunate to have businesses in our surrounding communities that are willing to step up and support Curious Kidz Preschool and the events we put on for our families and community.

We can’t wait for everyone to see the finished games at our Turkey Trot! 🦃🍂

Thank you, Riverside Co-op & RONA Nipawin, for helping us make it happen! ❤️

💜 WHY THIS EVENT MATTERS 💜

When you come out to our Turkey Trot & Fall Family Fun Day, you’re doing more than giving your family a fun day out — you’re supporting your local preschool. 🥹💜

Curious Kidz Preschool is a community-run, non-profit preschool right here in Carrot River. We rely on tuition, fundraising, donations and the incredible support of our community to keep our doors open.

Money raised through events like our Turkey Trot helps us with the everyday costs of running our preschool, including:

🍎 Teacher wages
🏫 Rent
✂️ Classroom supplies & materials
📚 Learning activities & programming
🧸 Equipment for our classroom
💜 And all the little things that help make Curious Kidz a special place for our children to play, learn, belong and grow.

When you buy a Fall Fun Pass, grab something to eat, purchase raffle tickets or simply come out and support the event, it all adds up.

In a small community, every person who shows up makes a difference. ❤️

We hope you’ll join us!
