Each year, my school partners with our city’s firefighters to put together Christmas “baskets” for families who need a surprise and smile on their doorsteps during the holidays. My class was able to pack this box with goodies for a young brother and sister. I always feel connected to people I buy for when all I know is their age and name. I hope everyone has a happy, safe, and warm holiday this season. ❤️

One thing I was really looking forward to was creating calligraphy at my own wedding. I didn’t do as many DIY projects as people thought I would have 🤣 but I’m happy with what I had time to do. was already so beautiful on its own! What I love about making these prints is that each one is an original and are places people have travelled. This piece tells a story. However, I also get so nervous making them because one mistake or smudge of ink, I’ll have to start again. Sometimes it looks like it’s just a piece of paper but how about that x several drafts to get it right? Swipe to see some drafts, the full print, and ones from the past. This is dedicated to who is one of the sweetest, most courageous women I know in this lettering community. She was recently diagnosed with Moyamoya and shares her story which shows strength, optimism, and beauty. I didn’t know much about this rare brain disease until she shared her story. Now she wants to bring awareness to this to inform others about it. Take a minute to research about it to become aware or bring awareness to others. Stay strong and beautiful ❤️
