We are incredibly proud to share that our school has been named as a finalist in the Curious Minds Awards 2026 for our work in partnership with The Stapleford Granary Arts Centre - Cambridgeshire.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the strength of our partnership with The Stapleford Granary. Together, we have been working to create richer arts opportunities for children, and we're honoured that this work has been recognised nationally.

🍰 Stapleford Bake Off 2026 🍰

Wow! What an incredible response to this year's Stapleford Bake Off! We were absolutely blown away by the number of entries and the creativity, effort and baking talent on display. 🤩

It was incredibly difficult to choose our winners, so we introduced a range of special categories to recognise the different talents on show.

We're delighted to share just some of the fantastic entries in these photographs. Thank you to everyone who took part and to all the families who supported our young bakers. We are so proud of every single entry – you certainly made our judges' job a very difficult one! 👏🧁🍪

🎵📚 Get ready to Read to the Beat this summer!
We're encouraging all of our children to take part in the free Summer Reading Challenge at their local library. It's a brilliant way to keep reading over the holidays, discover new books and enjoy this year's music-themed challenge.

We'd love to see as many of our children as possible joining in. Happy reading, and enjoy the rhythm of a great book! 📖🎶

Our theme this year is , celebrating the power of stories and songs to inspire. Collect your first sticker from Saturday 18th July – don’t miss out!

As a fantastic year comes to an end, we'd like to wish all of our families a happy and relaxing summer holiday.

To our wonderful Year 6, we are incredibly proud of you and wish you every success and happiness as you begin your next adventure at secondary school.

After a wonderful Celebration Assembly, where we recognised our brilliant children and everything they have achieved this year, the fun continued with an amazing Colour Run led by our fantastic After School Club team.

Looking at this photo, we're not quite sure who was having more fun... the children or the staff! 😂🎨

A huge thank you to our After School Club team for organising such a fantastic event and creating another special memory as we head towards the end of another successful school year.

🌟 What a fantastic two evenings of entertainment! 🌟

Congratulations to our amazing Year 5 and Year 6 children for two fantastic performances of Oliver! We couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them.

This year, we had two different principal casts, giving even more children the opportunity to take centre stage and showcase their talents. It was a joy to see different children shine in leading roles, each bringing their own personality, confidence and creativity to the performance. Every cast was outstanding, and both audiences were treated to something truly special.

Every child played a vital part, whether singing, acting, or dancing. Their commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm were evident from start to finish.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and volunteers for the many hours spent bringing the show together. Thank you also to our families for your continued support and for filling the hall with such enthusiastic applause over both evenings.

Well done, Year 5 and Year 6. You have entertained us, made us laugh and cry and shown such confidence and resilience. We are incredibly proud of you all! 🌟🎶

🎶 Together in Tune 2026 🎶

What. An. Evening! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make "Together in Tune" such a fantastic celebration of music, bringing the communities of Stapleford and Shelford Schools together.

From our amazing choir, band, musicians, dancers, Open Mic performers and Rewilding Yoga, to our incredible volunteers and "roadies" behind the scenes – we couldn't have done it without you.

The best feedback came from those who were there:

💬 "I bet you are so pleased with how it went."

Thank you to everyone who came along, performed, volunteered and supported us. What a brilliant evening celebrating music, community and being Together in Tune. Here's to the next one! 🎵✨

Reminder - Open Classrooms Tonight. This one is slightly different. You are welcome to come and see your child's classroom and their work as usual, but then afterwards, please feel free to visit their new classrooms that they will be moving into next year. Some of our staff will be around in those rooms to say hello! Year 3 will be moving into the current Y5 classroom in September. That will be Year 4's classroom in the new year.
