This week we took our Chilean group on a brand-new trip to Anglesey Abbey, a 17th century manor owned by Lord Fairhaven. Our students got to see 100 acres of gardens, expertly guided by our tour guide Cliff, the eighteenth-century watermill with traditional machinery that used to grind flour for the locals and of course the manor, as it was hundreds of years ago!

This week our Study Tours group had an adventure running around Cambridge, hunting for dinky (small) doors. With the help of a map and riddles our students managed to find 10 of the doors!
Tucked away in college walls, tiny archways, and unexpected corners of the city, these little doors hide in plain sight. It was the perfect mix of teamwork, sharp eyes, and a bit of friendly competition, all while getting to know Cambridge from a whole new angle. A brilliant way to turn a city walk into a real adventure!

Abracadabra! Our EFL students discovered that learning English can be magical! Today Activity Leader Jack taught some simple magic tricks to our students. A fun and interactive way to practise giving and receiving instructions in English. 🪄✨

On Wednesday our Eunoia group hopped on a train, enjoyed the scenic countryside and arrived at Bury st Edmunds for a half day trip. Where they enjoyed some traditional cream tea – complete with scones and jam. We then went and saw the old monastery which was once one of the richest monasteries on all of Britian where our students learnt some important history about Henry VIII and the reformation.

Our Study Tours group had an exciting half day trip in Ely. They started by taking the train to Ely watching the scenic English countryside as it went by. It was incredibly hot, so they ate delicious ice cream under the scorching sun before joining their guided tour of the beautiful Ely Cathedral. Lastly, they ended the day with time to explore the town on their own and buying souvenirs for their friends and family.

A brand new trip at Stafford House this week!
Our students got to see Hampton Court Palace – the home of King Henry VIII. Our Study Tours group got to see The King’s Kitchens, dining room, galleries and even his bedroom. As well as jousting (a medieval English sport) and falconry (a display of hunting birds). It was the perfect trip to enjoy the summer weather and learn lots about British royalty!

✨ Postcard Making at Stafford House Cambridge! ✍️
Our students had fun decorating and writing postcards to send home to their families and friends around the world. 💌
Students had the opportunity to practise their English writing skills through “snail mail”! These letters were posted by one of our School’s Activity Leaders in the beautifully decorated postbox honouring Sir David Attenborough – a University of Cambridge alumnus and British icon. 🤗
We are proud to see our students building their confidence in English while staying connected with their loved ones across the globe.

Our talented students had a wonderful time participating in a bracelet-making activity at Stafford House International. 🎨🧵 This hands-on session encouraged creativity, teamwork, and self-expression as students designed their own unique bracelets.

This week we explored the beautiful streets of Cambridge — from stunning colleges to the best food spots and hidden ice cream gems 🍦 Oh, and we may have come face to face with a 21-metre whale along the way 🐋 (you'll have to join us to find out more!)

Bowling night = DONE ✅

16 of us took over the lanes last night and honestly… some people were surprisingly good (and some of us will not be mentioning our scores 😅)

Strikes, laughs, and a whole lot of energy — this is what it's all about! Big love to everyone who came out, you made it one to remember 🎳
