A couple weeks ago I cleaned the sheath of a beautiful heavy horse. The owner said his sheathe has always been quite large and that the vet wasn’t concerned.
This is the message I received a few days after his appointment.

Do something and get it wrong,

that’s at least 10X more productive than doing nothing.

When was the last time your boy had a good sheath cleaning and beaning?????
🐴If your gelding presents with hind end issues he may have a dirty sheath.
🐴If you notice a poor or spurting urine stream, your gelding may have a bean.
🐴If your gelding doesn't drop well when he pees it is likely he will have a dirty sheath....(common in older geldings)
Having you geldings sheath cleaned/de-beaned done on a regular basis is great preventative measure to maintaining a healthy and happy horse.
Huge bonus is prevention of unwanted vets bills.
