Do you believe in magic? Here at Plein Air, we have experienced it many times, and we have come to learn that it exists at the edges- for us, the edge between nature, art, and imagination. Come join us, and who knows? Maybe you’ll feel the magic too ;)

Oh hi!

Thought we’d say our hello’s since it’s been awhile.

We’re Nikki & Tom! And we cooked up Plein Air one day when we were busy working with in the garden!

The kids in the neighbourhood had their tennis camp cancelled, so we stepped up with bikes and crafts in hand.

The next year we biked the urban wilds of Mohkinstsis causing trouble, making art under bridges, climbing trees, and jumping in Ijathibe Wapta (Bow River), with our Inglewood brood.

is an artist, mini master, garden and outdoors enthusiast, pursuing landscape architectin’ and is a new mama, artist, wilderland worshipper, and bonafide educator.

We’ve been playing’ since our days in the garden and we can’t wait to play with you at Family CAMP starting in May! Link in our biooooooo!

Family CAMP Home Mission : Hidden Faces / Unexpected Places

Have you ever looked at a tree that looked back at you? Does that rock look like your great uncle Herb?

It’s a phenomena known as PAREIDOLIA, or: “the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or visual pattern”.

Take a walk with the fam and share with us all the hidden faces you find by tagging us in your posts and stories! Let us know which fam or friend they remind you of.

And don’t forget to bring uncle Herb to Family CAMP this May! Register at the link in our bio!

See you outside!

Changes can be tough, but the possibilities are endless!

Finding the balance between feasibility and affordability for our summer camps broke our calculators. We’re cocooning for a bit, and cooking up a series of extra swell family events!

Bring your family together to play in the urban wilds, meet friends-to-be, get silly, and create collaborative public artworks.

We appreciate your support more than you could know ~ Thanks for helping us spread our wings !

See you outside,
Nikki & Tom
