You don't need me for content alone. There's more than enough content out there in the world.
What I'm good at is marrying content, community and application. So, in the spirit of application, I'm sharing NO NEW content with you this week 😃.
Instead, here is a recap of what hit home recently -> lessons of leadership, team performance and personal excellence. The messages that got people thinking and talking. Whether you're catching up or revisiting a favourite, I hope something here speaks to you.
As you're reviewing, I encourage you to identify at least ONE action item you can test out.

If you’d like help turning insight into action, let’s book a complimentary 1:1 laser coaching session and work on this together.
Most coaching stops at awareness. This is where mine starts. Then we build your Personal Operating System so you actually follow through with tangible actions.
Here’s what leaders are saying:
💥 “Parm this 35min coaching call was more valuable than the two-week course I was in last year.”
DM to book your session.

I promise I didn't spend all day recording videos in my car!
At the end of this leadership training session with the senior leadership team from the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc , one participant asked who my favourite wrestler was, and why.
Did we just become best friends? YUP! 😃
A great time with this leadership team talking about values-based leadership, and I can't wait to do it all over again!
Big shout out to Doug for your partnership in setting this up. And great meeting Rob in-person after all the time we've spent together over zoom.
Conquer your potential friends!

Coming out of a coaching conversation with a communications leader in police services .. we talked about why he feels constantly drained.
Not because he isn't capable. Actually, the opposite.
He cares deeply. Takes ownership. Wants to help. Steps in often.
But over time, he's started to carry problems that aren't fully his to carry in the first place.
Other people’s stress. Other people’s urgency. Other people’s lack of planning.
Maybe you’ve felt this too.
FOCUS: We focused on the difference between being supportive and becoming emotionally responsible for everything around you.
INSIGHT: High performers often take ownership of problems that were never fully theirs to carry.
ACTION: We discussed a simple framework to use in stressful situations:
M → What’s MY responsibility or within my span of control?
T → What’s THEIR responsibility?
O → What’s OURS to work through together?
Sometimes burnout comes from treating everything like it’s yours alone.
YOUR TURN: Simple yes or no .. have you ever carried something that wasn’t fully yours to carry?
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨?
I asked Vipin () Seva Food Bank ) what the tagline "Conquer your potential" means to him and his answer was simple… and powerful.
"Potential doesn’t plateau."
Like goals, you can achieve them, but they lead to something else. Something bigger.
So you achieve .. and then you go again. This is how you move toward the next BEST version of yourself.
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟-𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘
I also asked him how he’s recently been able to conquer his potential.
His answer?
Helping Seva Food Bank get out of the red in 2025.
They carried a significant deficit for most of the year. But through a focused plan, persistence, and belief in his team… they turned things around.
Maybe not perfectly, but definitely with intention.
𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧
"Don’t ever forget what it’s like to be on the ground."
This line still rings loud.
The best leaders don’t move away from the work. They stay close enough to understand it.
If you need to… stock the shelves.
Sweep the floor.
Build the participant packages.
Not because you have to, but because it keeps you connected.

Coming out of a coaching session with a lawyer .. we were reflecting on a pattern we had been noticing over time.
He would get into a strong routine .. Structured, disciplined, fully planned out.
And then… fall off.
The routine was hard to sustain. So the cycle would repeat. Reset, restart, fall off again.
Maybe you’ve felt this too.
As we worked through it, we realized something important.
That push for a “perfect” routine wasn’t all bad. It actually helped him build momentum and get going.
But it needed to evolve.
FOCUS: We focused on shifting from a perfect routine to a sustainable one.
INSIGHT: A perfect routine can create momentum. But only a flexible one will keep you consistent.
ACTION: Keep the parts of your routine that give you energy. But create space. Build in white space, not just structure. Aim for something you can repeat, not perfect.
YOUR TURN: DM or comment below .. what part of your routine is consistent?

Walking into the gala, we ( and I) felt like we could let our guard down.
We’ve all been in rooms where you’re a bit more aware of how you show up.
What you say .. How you say it .. How you’re being perceived. That quiet pressure to “be on.”
And for some of us that look visibility different, we get "the look!"
The gala was different. From , , , to .. it was a room full of influential leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs.
Different sectors, journeys and stories. And yet .. it felt easy to let my guard down.
And great food. Full on carb-load and I'm not even sorry! 😃

Growth like this happens through community in spaces where people feel like they belong.
Where they can connect without filters.
Grateful to be part of this community and proud of how far we’ve come.
Good times hanging out with TJ Walia, Mehtab Kanda, and so many more!

I’ve been connected to PCC for about five years now.
Started with some strategy work .. and now serving on the advisory board alongside Colin and Jag.
So strong personal connection to the PCC journey, which makes this gala that much more special!
A massive shoutout to Harsimran Grewal, Puneet Kaur, Inder Chopra, Robandeep Kaur Saini, Meharban Arora, Chitpreet Bagga and the entire executive team and all other volunteers.
They built something special.
Still feeling the post-gala high! Is this what it means to ... belong?

Can a volunteer ever make it to the "top"?
Most leaders struggle with distance. As they move "up" in seniority, they move further away from the work .. And that's when things tend to break.
This is one of the biggest gaps I see in leadership development and team engagement as I continue to work closely with leaders, teams and organizations.
I recently spoke with my good friend, Vipin Saini, Executive Director, Seva Food Bank . In this episode of ConquerCast, we covered a lot, in a short amount of time:
💥 Whether pineapple belongs on pizza (Always a hot topic and neither of us were shy to state our position 😃)
💥 Leading through financial pressure
💥 Turning around a deficit
💥 Staying connected to your team
💥 Learning how to step away and recharge

My connection to Seva Food Bank is personal.
It’s a place that's meant something to my family from before the doors ever opened .. When we were in strategy meetings simply discussing the idea of Seva Food Bank.
And my Mom, who passed away from cancer in 2022, was one of the "kitchen aunties" making us all food so that we could continue planning and stay focused.
Although, when Momma's food is THAT good, you need power nap afterwards 😃.

Coming out of a coaching session with a Project Manager … we talked about speaking up!
She prepares .. thinks things through .. knows her input would add value.
But when the moment comes to speak, she hesitates. Not because she doesn’t know enough, but because she's not fully confident in how it will come across.
So she stays quiet. And the moment passes.
Maybe you’ve felt this too.
FOCUS: We focused on the hesitation that shows up right before speaking.
INSIGHT: You’re not struggling with speaking or knowledge. You’re struggling with trusting what you already know.
ACTION: The next time you feel that hesitation, don’t wait for perfect. Say one clear sentence, state your opinion or ask a question. Then pause. Let the conversation build from there.
YOUR TURN: DM or comment below. What’s one moment this week where you’ll choose to speak, even if it’s not perfect?

Bolton Rotary is part of a broader “Lift the Lid” initiative. A movement focused on bringing real conversations around mental health into our communities.
Last week I had the pleasure of delivering a workshop for Bolton Rotary, at the Caledon Seniors Centre.
We explored leadership development, personal excellence, and what I like to call… life management.
During the session, we focused on strategies to prevent burnout.
Almost 50% of Canadians are experiencing it in some form. What's tricky is burnout shows up in different ways:
* low patience
* slower thinking
* poor decisions
* feeling constantly behind
This session was more of a life opportunity than a business opportunity.
And this where I met Fely, my new old friend.
New because this is the first time we met.
Old because she's been in the Conquer email community for a few years.
Fely taught me that…
… it doesn't matter what season of life we're in, the learning, leadership development and personal excellence never steps.
In fact, she was double booked that evening.
She decided to skip her Zoom meeting and attend this training instead.
Keep Conquering Fely!
If you notice signs of burnout in yourself, take a moment to pause, care for yourself, and reach out to someone you trust.
If you notice it in others, check in with them. Even a simple message can remind someone they’re not alone.
A big shoutout to Charissa Yavtucovich for leading this event! Thank you for your partnership!
