A simple table invitation turned into something pretty magical today ✨

With just straws and bubble solution, the children explored, experimented, and discovered so much. They practiced blowing gently, watched their bubbles grow and wobble, and shared their excitement with one another. Some focused on making the biggest bubble they could, while others carefully observed and described what they saw—“It’s getting bigger!”

There were moments of problem-solving, laughter, and connection all around the table. Even something this simple supported fine motor skills, breath control, early science concepts, and language development in such a natural way.

This is what learning looks like in our space—child-led, curiosity-driven, and full of wonder 🤍
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and guided by Flight framework

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Tina- Inspired Minds ECC Consulting Inc. for teaching and inspiring us to become stronger, more confident educators. Through your guidance and mentorship, we have gained valuable knowledge and skills that we now carry into our everyday programming to better support and enrich the lives of the children in our care.

We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Travis Currie, one of our Gibbons Town Councillors, for his support and responsiveness regarding the recent ice build-up caused by drainage issues on the road near our centre.

Your willingness to listen and help us navigate this slippery situation is truly appreciated. At Dolphin Child Development Centre, the safety of our children, families, and staff is always our top priority, and your assistance made a real difference.

Thank you for supporting our community!

This week ends our discussion on play schemas and how they are important for children’s holistic development. As educators, we have learned many techniques on ways to support the children in our care to reach their full potential.

Our Valentine’s Day celebration was filled with love, learning, and laughter! The children participated in developmentally appropriate activities that supported fine motor and gross motor development and creative expression through hands-on crafts. It was a joyful day that fostered kindness, friendship, and a strong sense of community in our learning environment. 💕
