Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s leadership. 💛

When we show up rested, grounded, and clear in our minds, we show up better for our team. Our energy matters. Our tone matters. The way we respond instead of react matters.

If we want strong relationships at work, we have to fill our own cup first. That might mean rest. That might mean quiet. That might mean saying no.

This past weekend, I took some time in nature. Fresh air, slower pace, and space to think. It reminded me that when I pause, I lead better.

Let’s remember, the best thing we bring to work each day is not our to-do list. It’s who we are. 🌿

Working with coworkers isn’t always easy, but strong relationships make a huge difference in the workplace.

In Early Learning and Child Care, teamwork matters. When coworkers communicate clearly, support each other, and handle conflict respectfully, it creates a healthier environment for everyone — especially the children.

You don’t have to be best friends with your coworkers, but you do need trust, kindness, and professionalism. Small things like listening, offering help, and showing appreciation can go a long way.

Healthy teams build healthy centres. 💛

5 Ways to Build Great Work Relationships 12/04/2025

🤝 Strong Teams, Stronger Care 🤝

Just like building trust with children, strong relationships between coworkers make all the difference in a child care environment. When we communicate, support, and respect each other, we create a positive space where everyone can thrive.

Great teamwork doesn’t just happen — it’s built one kind word, one helpful gesture, and one honest conversation at a time.

This professor's lesson about perspective will CHANGE how you see things...🤯 11/23/2025

Sometimes all it takes is a pause, a breath, and a question. This clip is such a good reminder that what we see isn’t always what someone else sees. A simple moment in a classroom turned into a powerful lesson in perspective and understanding. When we take the time to slow down and really listen, it can change everything.

It's been a while since I've popped on here! England, selling a house, presenting workshops, and working full time... it's been a busy season to say the least!

But through it all, one thing always stays at the heart of my work- building relationships.

I wanted to share a little feedback love from a couple of my recent workshops. Hearing how these sessions help educators strengthen connections with each other means everything to me. It reminds me why this work matters so much.

Thank you so much for the feedback. It truly means a lot and keeps me inspired to keep creating spaces where we can learn, grow, and build stronger relationships together. ❤️

In early childhood, strong relationships don’t just “happen”—they’re built through teamwork, time, communication, commitment, and dedication. The same holds true on the big stage, like the Canadian Women’s Rugby Team who have worked tirelessly together to earn their place in the finals this Saturday! 🏉🇨🇦

It’s amazing to see how much effort and trust goes into achieving something so powerful—whether it’s children learning and growing together, or a national team striving for victory. Both remind us: great things happen when we show up for each other. ❤️

💛 Kindness Starts With Us 💛

Working in early childhood is beautiful—but it’s also hard work. Long days, big feelings (ours and theirs!), and endless to-do lists. That’s why kindness between co-workers matters so much.

A kind word. A shared laugh. An offer to help with cleanup. These little moments build trust, connection, and a stronger team.

When we treat each other with kindness, patience, and respect—we create a workplace where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued.

Let’s be the calm in each other’s chaos. Let’s choose kindness. 🌈

A big thank you to Kiddie Corner Early Learning Centre Inc. for having me in to talk about those tricky behaviours that can show up in the workplace — and how we can move from friction to flow.

It was a pleasure to spend time with your team and explore ways to support yourselves and each other in the important work you do every day.

“When the adults in the room don’t get along, the kids always know. Teamwork isn’t just for play-based learning—it’s for the grown-ups too!” 🧩

Let’s build stronger teams, not silent standoffs. 💛
