TUESDAY CHALLENGE: MAKE THE DECISION

How many dreams are delayed—not because we lack talent, opportunity, or intelligence—but because we refuse to decide?

Sometimes we keep researching, asking for opinions, comparing options, and waiting for perfect certainty. But there comes a point when reflection becomes hesitation, and hesitation becomes a habit.

You will rarely have every answer before you move.

Sometimes clarity comes after courage.

So today, identify one decision you have been postponing and ask yourself:

What do I already know?
What is fear making me overcomplicate?
What is the cost of doing nothing for another 30 days?
What is the wisest next step I can take today?

Then make the decision.

Not impulsively.
Not carelessly.
But courageously and responsibly.

Being decisive does not mean ignoring wisdom. It means gathering enough information to move—and refusing to hide behind endless analysis.

Indecision delays more dreams than failure ever will.

Decide what matters.
Decide what must stop.
Decide what must begin.
Decide what deserves your commitment.

Then act.

What is getting the best of your attention right now?

We live in a world designed to distract us. Notifications, social media, opinions, endless conversations, news, comparison, and other people’s expectations can quietly consume the very energy we need to build the life we truly want.

Here is the challenge: your life grows in the direction of your attention.

Feed your fears, and they become stronger.
Feed your purpose, and it becomes clearer.
Feed distraction, and your progress becomes scattered.
Feed discipline, learning, faith, and meaningful action, and your future begins to change.

This week, protect your focus.

Protect your mornings.
Protect your mind.
Protect your time.
Protect your energy.
Protect your purpose.

Ask yourself:

What deserves less of me?
What deserves more of me?
What one distraction do I need to remove this week?

You do not need to chase everything.
You need to identify what matters most and give it your best attention.

Where attention goes, energy flows. Where energy flows, growth follows.

FRIDAY REFLECTION: BECOME BEFORE YOU RECEIVE

We spend so much time praying, planning, and hoping for the next opportunity that we sometimes forget to ask a more important question:

Who must I become when it arrives?

We want more income—but are we developing the discipline to manage more?

We want a bigger business—but are we becoming better leaders?

We want greater influence—but are we building the character to sustain it?

We want promotion—but are we already demonstrating the capacity required at the next level?

We want extraordinary relationships—but are we becoming extraordinary people to relate with?

Sometimes the delay is not only about when the opportunity will come. Sometimes the season is preparing you for the opportunity.

So before this week ends, ask yourself:

What am I currently praying for?
What kind of person must I become to carry it well?
What skill, habit, discipline, knowledge, or character trait do I need to develop?
What can I begin working on this weekend?

Don’t merely prepare the opportunity.

Prepare the person.

Don’t just build the business—build the entrepreneur.
Don’t just pursue leadership—build the leader.
Don’t just pursue wealth—develop the wisdom to manage it.
Don’t just pray for greater influence—develop the character to carry it.

Because receiving what you are not prepared to sustain can turn a blessing into a burden.

Your next level will not simply require more from you.

It will require more OF you.

This Friday, don’t only ask: “What do I want next?” Ask: “WHO MUST I BECOME NEXT?”

WEDNESDAY ENCOURAGEMENT: YOU ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK! 🌱

Have you ever worked, prayed, sacrificed, prepared and remained consistent—yet wondered, “Is anything actually happening?”

One of the hardest parts of pursuing a dream is doing the work before there is visible evidence that the work is working.

You pray—but nothing seems to change.
You build—but the customers haven’t arrived.
You study—but the opportunity hasn’t appeared.
You save—but the financial breakthrough still seems distant.
You serve—but nobody seems to notice.
You keep showing up—and wonder whether you’re actually getting anywhere.

But hear this today:

ABSENCE OF VISIBLE RESULTS IS NOT ALWAYS ABSENCE OF PROGRESS.

Think about a seed.

Long before anything breaks through the soil, something extraordinary is happening underneath.

Roots are forming.
Strength is developing.
A foundation is being established for what will eventually become visible.

Your life can work the same way.

Before you become discouraged by what hasn’t happened yet, ask yourself:

Am I stronger than I was six months ago?
What can I handle today that once overwhelmed me?
What have I learned during this season that success could never have taught me?
What if I’m much closer to my breakthrough than I realize?

Don’t dig up the seed because you haven’t seen the harvest.

Don’t abandon the business too early.
Don’t throw away the dream because progress seems slow.
Don’t stop developing yourself because nobody has noticed yet.
Don’t mistake silence for stagnation.

Sometimes you’re not being denied.

YOU’RE BEING DEVELOPED.

So keep going.

The roots may already be deeper.
The foundation may already be stronger.
The breakthrough may already be closer.

YOU ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK.

TUESDAY CHALLENGE: FINISH WHAT YOU START!

How many dreams are sitting unfinished because the excitement that got us started disappeared before the discipline required to finish arrived?

Starting is easy.
New ideas are exciting.
New businesses, courses, books, fitness goals, relationships, projects, and plans often begin with tremendous enthusiasm.

But somewhere between inspiration and completion, life happens.

We get distracted.
Results take longer than expected.
Challenges emerge.
And another unfinished project gets added to the collection.

Today, I challenge you:
FINISH WHAT YOU START!

Starting reveals your intention. Continuing reveals your discipline. Finishing reveals your character.

Look around your life today. What deserves completion?

That course you purchased but never completed?
That proposal sitting on your computer?
That book you’ve been promising to write?
That business idea waiting for ex*****on?
That difficult conversation you’ve been postponing?

Don’t start something new simply because finishing the old thing became uncomfortable.

Of course, wisdom sometimes tells us to abandon what no longer serves our purpose. But there is a difference between strategically letting go and habitually giving up.

So here’s your Tuesday Challenge: choose ONE important unfinished commitment and move it significantly closer to completion TODAY.

Greatness isn’t only about dreaming bigger. It’s about developing the discipline to execute consistently and finish strongly.

What if the permission you are waiting for must come from YOU?

One of life’s greatest tragedies is not failure. It is reaching the end of the journey and discovering that you had the gift, the idea, the intelligence, the opportunity and the capacity—but lacked the courage to begin.

You were not created merely to fit into somebody else’s expectations.

There is something within you that the world needs.

So, this Monday, STOP WAITING!

Write the book.
Launch the business.
Apply for the position.
Take the course.
Make the call.
Start the ministry.
Return to school.
Develop the idea.
Have the conversation.
Take that first courageous step.

Will everyone understand you? No.

Will everyone support you? No.

Do you need everyone to? Absolutely not!

Your dream does not need universal approval. It needs your courage, your commitment and your ACTION.

And perhaps you don’t feel ready.
Start preparing anyway.

Greatness isn’t reserved for people who have everything figured out; it belongs to people willing to learn, grow, stumble, adjust and keep moving.

This week, don’t ask, “Will they approve?”

Ask, “What will happen if I never try?”

Prof. Jason Arday made history as Cambridge’s youngest Black professor & was subjected to relentless scrutiny.

Dr. Antoinette Candia-Bailey rose to senior leadership at Lincoln University & later died by su***de after alleging racialized workplace mistreatment.

Dr. Claudine Gay became Harvard’s first Black president & faced extraordinary scrutiny until she stepped down.

Different circumstances, same question: after institutions celebrate their “first Black” appointment, who protects the human being?

Before Cambridge, the British media & academia move from controversy to condolences, they need to confront some difficult questions.

At 37, Arday became Cambridge’s youngest Black professor—young, Black & historically visible in one of Britain’s most elite institutions.

Then came the allegations.

A former Cambridge academic published accusations about his work. The Telegraph amplified the controversy, describing Arday as “Cambridge’s diversity poster boy.” Other major British media followed.

Why was his race relevant to allegations of plagiarism? How did questions about one man’s academic work become intertwined with DEI & whether a Black professor deserved his appointment?

Cambridge initially defended Arday, calling him the victim of a “vile campaign to undermine his credibility” & noting earlier allegations had been cleared. Then new allegations emerged, investigations followed & the pressure intensified.

Days after his resignation, Jason Arday was dead.

His family says he endured a sustained campaign of abuse & harassment.

While we do not know the cause of his death, we cannot ignore the extraordinary pressure surrounding a young, Black, successful academic who shattered a historic barrier.

Had he been Black & unknown, would he have attracted this attention?

Had he been White & faced identical allegations, would his race, appointment & the legitimacy of diversity itself have become part of his prosecution in the court of public opinion?

Accountability is one thing. Racializing alleged failures & using them to question whether Black people deserve positions of power is another.

Who challenged that narrative? Who considered the psychological impact? Who remembered the father & human being behind the headlines?

Now some media social-media pages carrying news of his death appear to have restricted comments. That raises another question: if the public could participate while allegations circulated, why restrict discussion now?

Accountability does not require humiliation. Scrutiny does not require racialization. One Black professor’s alleged failures should never become ammunition against Black excellence.

Cambridge & the British media cannot simply publish condolences & move on.

We need answers. We need reflection. And where institutions failed, we need accountability.

Representation without support is tokenism. Diversity without belonging is cosmetic.

Opening doors for minoritized people without creating environments capable of supporting them can have devastating consequences.

Rest in peace, Professor Jason Arday.
