In life, many people cross our paths that inspire,teach us and without even knowing it whisper words of wisdom! ❤️🙌🏼

Cleo D’Eon is one of those people! Cleo is a young 96 ,I see on the regular at the gym! We talk and walk side by side on the treadmill and even push and pull our way through our workouts with encouragement for each other!

Last night he was Recognized for his years of athleticism! His inspiring words were “as long as I can move I’ll move!” This my friends couldn’t be more true for us all! Thank you, Cleo for being the incredible role model! On hard days I will remember his words! ❤️🙌🏼
Oh and might I add he is the Oldest curler in NS and possibly Canada! 🇨🇦 🥌
Last night I also heard from many speakers who spoke of other accomplished Athletes in the community of Bewick. 4 of which were inducted into the Berwick Hall of Fall along with the team of the 1957 CK Senior Girls Volleyball Team! Yes 1957 they were finally after this many years recognized for their outstanding achievements in their era! All of the inductees had the same theme, that sport is what develops character, resilience and confidence to be all we can be in our lives even outside of sport!

They also spoke of connection and community that comes from the involvement with others. Even in an individual sport you are not alone there is the community of like minded athletes that challenge us and support our passion! ❤️🙌🏼

My own experience in sports over the years I would have to say have taught me those values too! ❤️🙌🏼

Kudos to all last night awarded and those that were inducted years before and the ones that are still to be indebted we are all winners in life if we do as Cleo says move if you can move!

Over the past several months I have seen significant changes in all the ladies at The Fun Functional Fitness class. 😊🙌🏼
As instructor one of my greatest joys is seeing others grow in their physical abilities! On top of the physical changes it has been a pleasure to see all the women who once doubted themselves no longer do so! They are now strong , empowered women who know that no matter your age you can do it! The only thing holding you back is your mindset! 😊
