We had 4 Hurricane Athletes compete during the inaugural West Athletics Accessible Track and Field Meet.

Congratulations to A, B, J, and O for running, rolling, and throwing their best to bring home a few coveted ribbons!

You should all be very proud!!!

Today we celebrated all of our athletes that competed at West Regional Track and Field at Mary Ann Sills in Belleville last Thursday.

Our Hurricanes set 8 new individual meet records, including the first athlete to run the 100m in less than 12 seconds in competition. We also set 2 new Relay Records!

In addition to the most Top 6 finishes in School history, we had 4 athletes finish as medalists as Top 3 overall athletes in their division.

Congratulations to all of our athletes on another excellent showing! You make us all proud to be Hurricanes.

Theo, a Grade 3 Hurricane, is selling the most delicious lemonade today to support his upcoming Hockey Season. If you are travelling up Highway 37, stop by NanSan Farms, 2219 Highway 37, for some great refreshment, or some beautiful plants for your home!

Today was Career Day at for Catholic Education Spirit Week.

Students must have caught wind of the fact that there may be an open desk to fill in the Principal’s office next year, and think they have what it takes to be the next Mrs. Hackett! Some may even have taken this role very literally, as demonstrated by the dozens of Hurricanes who came dressed as Mrs. Hackett today!

Today, Maundy Thursday, Ms. O’Leary’s Grade 7/8 class lead us through the Stations of the Cross, as seen through the eyes of Mary, Mother of Jesus.

Monday: 100th day of School (aka Dress like Mrs. Hackett Day) - Dress like you’re 100.

Tuesday: Valentine’s Colours - Wear Pink, Red, White, or any other colour that makes you think of love!

Wednesday: A Few of my Favourites Things Day - Wear your favourite jersey, a shirt from your favourite TV Show, Band, or book, or even dress up as one of your favourite people/characters! How many Mr. Foley fans will we see?

Thursday: Broken Mirror Day (aka Dress Like Mrs. Hackett Day) - Come to school as if you didn’t have access to a mirror. Clothes that clash, messy hair, uneven makeup, it’s all good!

Friday: Olympic Colours - Dress in the colours/gear for your class country. Remember to have plenty of outdoor gear for our Winter Olympics!

Today, Mr. Aarts’s Grade 5/6 Class made the delicious Dutch treat, Oliebollen. Traditionally eaten at New Year’s and featuring fried dough mixed with raisins and apples, we thought the eve of the 2026 Olympics would be an appropriate time to indulge.

Safe to say, Mr. Aarts and his class will@be cheering on the during the Games. (After Canada, of course!)

Each class in our school has adopted a country to research for the Games. HoRo has Olympic fever!
