Mary Paula MacEachern has long been a successful advocate for women and girls in tennis. Through her home club of Mahone Bay, she was awarded special funding for a third consecutive year from Tennis Canada, to encourage more young girls to take up tennis as a sport.

In addition to providing lessons and playing opportunities for them in Mahone Bay, she brought a group of 13 girls aged 7-13 to SATC in Bedford last week.
They had a tour of the SATC facility, as well as a training session and point play with the all-female Technical Director team of Marijke Nel and Esme MacGillivray. Mary Paula herself assisted in the sessions and then provided some pizza and a little social time for the girls afterwards.

Thank you to Mary Paula and all the other wonderful female role models out there, who sow seeds of a love for tennis and make more women and girls want to play the game. ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽพ
