Campus update!

Brenda just finished installing some amazing new lighting in our Alberta classroom space, and it makes such a huge difference!
Having bright, clear light in here is going to be so nice for working through anatomy details and hands-on practice. It’s coming together so well, and we’re super excited for the next group of students to see it in person!

Quick Update on Moon!

We wanted to share a quick update on Brenda’s 3-year-old mare, Moon, following her recent hernia surgery.
She is recovering exceptionally well and resting up like a champ! A huge thank you to everyone in our Natural Touch Therapy Institute community who has reached out, sent well-wishes, and checked in on her. Your support means the world to us! 💖

One of my favourite parts of the Certified Equine Sport Therapy program is incorporating movement as homework for horse owners between sessions!

Working with my own mare, Nixie, I’ve been exploring just how crucial targeted movement is in releasing the restrictions palpated during our therapy sessions. Bodywork opens the door, but purposeful movement helps lock in those gains, improve mobility, and keep our horses feeling their best long after the session ends.
I love giving owners simple, effective tools to support their horse’s healing journey every day!

Wood Shavings vs. H**p Bedding — Is it worth the switch?

With Little Miss Moon on a month of stall rest after her hernia surgery, stall care has been top of mind!
Here’s why we’re loving h**p bedding:
💧 Super Absorbent: Holds moisture without spreading, using far less product overall.
🌿 Odor Control: Drastically reduces that strong ammonia/urine smell.
🧹 Easy Mucking: Shakes out easily so you only throw out the waste, saving you time and money!

Higher initial cost? Yes. But total time saved and less product wasted? 100% worth it!

What’s your go-to stall bedding? Let us know below! 👇

Tips & Tricks Day with Brenda! 🌾✂️

Stop hunting for your knife at feeding time! Brenda’s go-to barn hack? Keep a magnetic safety knife stuck right to the stall door metal or barn wall.

Behind the scenes at Natural Touch Therapy
Institute Alberta Campus!

We’re always working to keep our campus looking its absolute best for our students. The classroom is currently clear while we finish up the ceilings-sprayed, knocked down, and looking crisp thanks to contractor Rick Kaplar!
We can’t wait to put everything back in place and welcome our next group of equine therapy students into the upgraded space.
