On behalf of the NHMF we send our heart felt condolences to one of our participants, Adele Tressider who lost her dad, Rob, on Sunday. We send strength and peace to Adele, her mum Kelly and her sister Chanelle in this difficult time.

What a great evening with the Vintages at Millennium Park for the Mineral Capital Concert series. Thank you to everyone who bought a 50/50 ticket in support of NHMF, and thanks to everyone for braving the rain and the cool temperature! Pictured are Dianne, Jackie, Ann, Marian and Janet from the NHMF committee and the winner of the jackpot which was about $350! Don't forget there's music in the park every Wednesday night in the summer so be sure to support your local musicians and every 50/50 draw goes to a different charity!

Alumna Hannah Crawford is earning more accolades in the Canadian opera world.

🎉 Congratulations to Laurier Voice alumna Hannah Crawford (BMus '21) on her 2026 Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role (Musical).

Hannah received the nomination for her portrayal of Helmwige in Edmonton Opera's production of Die Walküre. Established in 1987 and named after theatre pioneer Elizabeth Sterling Haynes, the Sterling Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in professional theatre across the Edmonton region.

A graduate of Laurier's Voice program, where she studied with soprano Leslie Fagan, Hannah continues to make her mark on Canada's opera and theatre communities. We are thrilled to see her artistry and dedication recognized through this prestigious nomination.

Congratulations, Hannah, on this outstanding achievement! 💜💛
