All Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) schools and the Education Centre will be flying flags at half-mast to honour the memory of the 215 Indigenous children whose remains were recently discovered on the grounds of the Kamloops Indian Residential School in Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation Territory.

Beginning today, HPEDSB flags will be flown at half-mast for a total of 215 hours - one hour for every child whose life was lost, until June 8, 2021. More: https://bit.ly/3c6cqlK

The Ministry of Education has announced that in-person learning is resuming for all elementary and secondary students on Monday, January 25. Students enroled in virtual school will continue to learn online. Watch tomorrow for a letter to families from Director Sean Monteith.

Ontario is delaying the return of in-person learning for elementary students in southern Ontario until January 25.

Home-based child care and child care centres, including emergency child care for eligible health care and frontline safety workers, will remain open.
