A big thank you to Mrs Desjardins and Mme Brady and their classes for organizing our first Character Always Assembly of the year yesterday! This month we focused on the character trait of Courage. The students taught us about what it means to be courageous—not only in big moments, but also in the everyday choices we make to stand up for what is right, support others, and use our voices.

They also used our time together to continue our learning and reflection around Orange Shirt Day. Many classes also participated in lessons and activities focused on helping us create a school community where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. 🧡

Tomorrow, our school community will come together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and honour the children who were impacted by the residential school system.

Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for learning, reflection, and conversation.

Throughout the day, our students and staff will take part in age-appropriate learning and activities to help us understand the significance of this day and the importance of continuing to work toward reconciliation, respect, and ensuring that Every Child Matters. 🧡

We encourage our school community to wear orange as a visible reminder that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, welcomed, and respected. 🧡🧡🧡

Together, we continued Terry’s journey — one step, one kilometre, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

Our Terry Fox Run was about learning about Terry’s story, showing compassion, and coming together as a school community to make a difference.

We are so proud of our students for participating with such enthusiasm and heart. Thank you to our staff, families, and school community for helping make this day meaningful and for supporting our fundraising efforts. Well done wolves! 🐺
