🍔 BBQ by The Optimist Club of Aurora — Please pre-order by May 22 so they bring enough food. Walk-ups welcome while quantities last (cash, debit or credit). Menu: Beef Burger ($7), Halal Burger ($7), Veggie Burger ($7), Hot Dog ($5), Drink ($1)

🎮 FREE Stations (no tickets needed): Bead Making, Activity Zone, Tattoos, Magic Table, Science Table

🎟️ Paid Stations ($5/ticket or 5 for $20): Photo Booth, Face Painting, Rock Painting, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Inflatables (Soccer Fever, Axe Throwing, Double Hoop Zone)

🍦 Ice Cream Truck on site at your own cost!

Highview Hype Day
Friday May 1st, 2026.
 ***Dress to be outside for portions of the day!

We are excited to offer students a special day of fun, hands-on learning through a variety of staff-led electives. Our teachers have been hard at work designing engaging, creative activities to spark excitement while learning. The students also had the opportunity to choose their preferred sessions, giving them voice and choice in their learning experience. This day is directly connected to our School Improvement Plan by providing meaningful opportunities for hands on learning and collaboration. 
 
Our Grade 8 students will also play an important role as leaders, helping to support activities and guide younger students throughout the day. They have been working hard to develop their leadership skills and are prepared to take on these responsibilities as they prepare for their next chapter in high school.
 
It is sure to be a super fun and engaging day for everyone.  We can’t wait to see the students in action!

We are in our final stretch of our fundraising efforts, with all proceeds going towards the tarmac upgrade and new playground. With your support, we are getting closer to making this exciting project a reality for our students this fall.

Hey Highview Families,

We are excited to host the 1st ever Grade 7 and 8 Entrepreneurship Showcase on Friday, March 27th. The best part.... families are invited to come and see the great ideas the students have created. You are welcome to Highview between 1:30pm - 2:50pm to learn about these new innovations and give your feedback as a community member. We will be choosing up to 5 of the most successful business/service ideas to take part in the YRSDB Entrepreneurship Showcase in April!
