A friendly reminder that tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we honour Indigenous children, families, and communities and continue to learn about the importance of truth, respect, and reconciliation.

What an incredible achievement!

Today, we celebrate the power of a community coming together. Through years of dedication, fundraising, and unwavering support, much of it long before my time at Highview, our school community has reached an extraordinary milestone of $115, 000 toward an inclusive, new playground.

This accomplishment belongs to every parent, student, staff member, volunteer, and community partner, and School Council member who contributed along the way. Every fundraiser, every donation, and every act of support have helped make this dream a reality.

On behalf of the entire Highview team, thank you for believing in this vision and for making such a lasting investment in our school and for our students. We can’t wait to celebrate as we watch this exciting project come to life!

As another wonderful school year ends, I hope you and your family have a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer. Thank you once again for your continued support and for everything you do to make Highview such a special place to learn and grow.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year together!

Highview Hype Day
Friday May 1st, 2026.
***Dress to be outside for portions of the day!

We are excited to offer students a special day of fun, hands-on learning through a variety of staff-led electives. Our teachers have been hard at work designing engaging, creative activities to spark excitement while learning. The students also had the opportunity to choose their preferred sessions, giving them voice and choice in their learning experience. This day is directly connected to our School Improvement Plan by providing meaningful opportunities for hands on learning and collaboration.

Our Grade 8 students will also play an important role as leaders, helping to support activities and guide younger students throughout the day. They have been working hard to develop their leadership skills and are prepared to take on these responsibilities as they prepare for their next chapter in high school.

It is sure to be a super fun and engaging day for everyone.  We can’t wait to see the students in action!
