🎒 Backpack Drop-Off & Playground Grand Opening! 🛝

We’re getting ready to welcome everyone back for another great school year! We’d love to remind our community that our Backpack Drop-Off is happening on Monday, August 31 from 5:00–6:00 p.m.

But there’s an extra special reason to join us! ❤️ During backpack drop-off, we’ll also be celebrating the Grand Opening of our new playground! 🥳🛝

All community members are welcome—and encouraged—to attend! This playground is a wonderful addition to our school and community, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support, generosity, and encouragement we have received from so many people.

Thank you, Grayson and area, for helping make this dream a reality! We are so grateful for our tremendous community support. 💙

Thanks to the hard work of our SCC and other community volunteers over the past 2 days, our playground base has been installed and our new playground is OPEN (just in time for Party in the Park this weekend!)

🎉 Day 4 Update! 🎉

The playground equipment is officially installed! What started as a pile of boxes just a few days ago has been transformed into an incredible new space for our community’s children to enjoy.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers who donated their time, energy, and hard work, as well as our generous donors who helped make this project possible. This playground truly is a community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

The only remaining step is the installation of the safety surfacing. Unfortunately, delivery has been delayed due to flooding in Manitoba. We know everyone is excited, but we kindly ask for your patience as we wait for the final piece of the project to arrive.

🚧 Please remember that the playground is NOT open yet and should not be used until the safety surfacing has been installed.

Today was a special reminder of why this project matters so much. As our volunteers continued working hard to bring this playground to life, some of our school children sat nearby watching the progress with excitement and anticipation. Their smiles, curiosity, and eagerness to play are exactly what this incredible community effort is all about.

A huge thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who have given their time, energy, and skills over the past three days. Every shovel of dirt moved, every bolt tightened, and every hour spent brings us one step closer to creating a space where children will make memories for years to come.

We can’t wait to see the finished playground through the eyes of these kids. ❤️

Today we started the week off with a hot dog roast, courtesy of our favorite bus driver, Ronnie!
This has been an annual tradition for the past several years and we love to begin counting down to summer break with this tradition!
