Why should we sing?
It makes you feel better by releasing the happy chemicals in your body that beats away stress.
It also helps improve your memory and enhance lung function.
And it’s the perfect way to let go and express how you feel ❤️

As singers we need to practice daily abdominal breathing.
1. Keep your shoulders down and without raising your chest, expand your tummy (diaphragm) outwards.
2. Exhale the air and feel your tummy push in.
3. Repeat over and over until it becomes natural.

Like speaking, when you sing your vocal folds vibrate 100x per second. But for higher notes they vibrate to over 1,000x per second!! 😮
So hydrate often and give your voice time to rest ❤️
