I HATE arbitrary “health” standards. They lack nuance and practical value. I seriously don’t think they’re helping anyone!
For real though- I think more people just feel bad about themselves when they see stuff like that… it doesn’t motivate them. It causes unnecessary stress and shame.
So quit “should-ing” on yourself! 😏
Now go do something that’s life giving and makes you smile 😊🫶🏻
(Unless that’s doomscrolling- Stop that 😉)

Finding an activity that you actually ENJOY for cardio is a major life hack! 🔑
My wife and I have really been enjoying playing soccer again! Partly for cardio, partly to get ready for the co-ed season coming up. We have been going to the field 1-2 times/ week, rain or shine. We actually really like playing in the rain! 😅
Here’s some other ideas for fun cardio activities that YOU could try:
-ANY sport ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🎾🥏
-Swimming
-Hiking
-Skateboarding 👀 (I also love this one)
-Pickleball
-Spike ball
-Running / walking (if you enjoy it!)
-Musical chairs 😂
You get the point…
I hope this encourages you to move a bit more this week- and have fun while you’re at it!

I have to say - this was never me. Not really.
( to remind everyone that I used to be a total gym bro 😆)
I played the part, sure… I wore the stringers, rocked a bro-hawk, often did gym photoshoots, and posted shirtless selfies every other day 🫠
There was always this insatiable desire to prove myself. To feel like I was good enough…
➡️ But it was never enough.
Can you relate?
You don’t need to pretend to be something you’re not to feel better about yourself! It will never be good enough. Trust me, I know.
👉🏻 There is SO much more to fitness and health than how you look.
👉🏻 There is SO much more to YOU than how you look.

👉🏻 Do you ever felt like you’re not enough?
Like if you aren’t doing what you see other people doing- there’s no way you’re going to be successful? 🥵
I will be the first to say that I’ve been there. Especially as a Personal Trainer.
The thing is- we’re all just making it up as we go- doing the best we can with what we have.
My friend, you are more than enough 🫶🏻
You have what it takes to be successful! Just keep showing up and doing the best you can with what you have.
👉🏻 Stop beating yourself up for not fitting into someone else’s definition of success.

For real tho- it doesn’t even take that much to achieve these benefits!
I saw a study saying 30-60 mins of lifting / week was enough for maximum health benefits. [PMID: 35228201] (which includes way more than this list)
👉🏻 Find what level aligns with your current goals / time and energy and stick to it. You’ll have more success long term than trying to workout 5-7 days per week and burning out.
More isn’t always better here.
Don’t let other people’s misguided definition of health stop you from doing enough 👊🏻
