Students from Barrowtown, Dormick Park and Ten-Broeck Elementary raised their voices through Xa Xa Téméxw, a Sacred Earth Day concert celebrating Indigenous language, culture and community.
After months of daily rehearsals, students shared songs in Halq’eméylem and English while learning about stewardship and reconciliation.

Congratulations to the Abbotsford Virtual School (AVS) Class of 2026! 🎓

Every graduate has a unique story, and that’s what makes this such a special place.

Today, some graduates met one another in person for the very first time as they joined their graduation procession.

For Jody, graduation marks the completion of a goal more than 50 years in the making. Encouraged by his wife to earn his diploma before his granddaughters graduate next week, he accepted the challenge and crossed the finish line.

Cindy and Isabella celebrated an achievement of their own as a mother-daughter graduating pair. Studying together helped them stay accountable, support one another, and reach this milestone side by side.

Different journeys. Different timelines. One incredible accomplishment.

Congratulations to all AVS graduates. Your perseverance, resilience, and determination brought you to this moment, and the staff at AVS could not be prouder. ❤️🎓
