Faiya Taiga Faiya Taiga is a Belizean animal mascot (a black female jaguar) who teaches fire safety and health to children.

There are several illustrated children's books about Faiya Taiga, and she is used by various Belize government agencies and NGOs as a teacher!

Dr. Gail gave her talk on Faiya Taiga today at Book Week in Belize City! It was attended by both high school and primary school youths. Mr Ian Gibson talked about illustrating Faiya Taiga and creating the look of the character. The Leo Bradley Library Children's Committee members created a skit based on the Faiya Taiga story! Then they sang/danced to a short version of the Song! It was amazing. Check our YouTube Channel for that. Ms Sharena Smith, who is illustrating Book 6 of Faiya Taiga (the Fire Poem), came to visit! 😁🥰
