Press Release:
On January 5, 2023 the University of the West Indies, Open Campus received a donation of twelve (12) computers from the combined efforts of the American Foundation for The University of the West Indies and the Alumni Chapters of Florida, New York and Washington DC for this generous donation. Dr. Francis Severin, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal expressed his gratitude for the generous donation of the Chromebooks.The Chrome Books would be accessible for students to use as needed on a loan/rotation scheme.
The agreed distribution is as follows:
New York : Belize, Cayman, Turks & Caicos
Florida : Antigua & Barbuda
Washington DC : St Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, Grenada
AFU : Alumni Office in Barbados and Campus administration to aid productivity
The distribution commenced on Friday, March 17, 2023 with presentations to the Principal’s office and the Alumni Office.
The Campus Alumni Officer, Mrs. Sandra Griffith-Carrington, travelled to Antigua and Barbuda and on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 a presentation was made to Ms. Coleen Letlow, Head of the Antigua and Barbuda Site.
