Swaneng Hill Senior Secondary School, located in Serowe, Botswana, holds a unique place in the country’s educational history. It was founded on 11 February 1963 by Patrick van Rensburg, a South African anti-apartheid activist who had moved to the then Bechuanaland Protectorate in 1962.

Today, the students of Swaneng Hill Senior School proudly commemorated June 16 through vibrant song, dance, and artistic expression. As we remember the courage and sacrifice of the youth who fought for their right to quality education, we celebrate the power of young voices to inspire change and shape a better future.
