For us, and our many assistants, students, and assorted co-conspirators, the roof rack has become a home-from-home.
During more than twenty years of carnivore research we have spent a considerable amount of time sitting on, sleeping on, and occasionally hanging on for dear life to the tops of our various field cars. From the Roof Rack was created as part of a project currently being developed, building on the considerable experience of the four founding members. In the next few months we plan to register an NGO

There is none more amazing experience than to sit on your vehicle's roof rack with a lion close by roaring - it goes straight through your soul.
Lions are the only known cat species where individuals join to produce a chorus of roars. Even young cubs join in with their mews.
