Is an initiative by WOSM to effectively enhance the opportunities & possibilities for young people to contribute to the positive development of their communities. The framework include three preexisting programmes
1. The scout of the world award (SWA)
2. The world scout environmental badge
3. The messenger of peace
was created to encourage scouts & non-scouts to adopt the idea of the "world citizenship". The awards provides participants learning experiences to enable them to understand global issues & be involved in voluntary services to help solve such issues.
(SDGs) were introduced.In succession to the MDGs. The scout of the world award will continue to address the SDGs & other local & international development, peace & environment.
Health, education, human rights, poverty eradication, peace, intercultural understanding, dialogue, climate change etc...
Connects young people & the natural world through action projects it involves youth members exploring different environmental themes & then completing a service project. Examples of successful projects include a , , & project. Tree planting, & raising awareness of pollution among young people in the local community.
aims to provide a global platform for young people to combine million of local community actions they carryout because they are into a global whole which can show the overall impact of scouts throughout the world. "Peace", as defined by WOSM in the initiative encompasses everything which contributes to the harmony of a local community & scouts have been inspired to take action in intercommunity dialogue, welcoming refugees, post earthquake or flood, in health emergencies such as & simply in any disaster big/small that they perceive in their community.
Scouts over the world have been inspired, as " Messengers of peace " to address local - which encompass all the key areas of the SDGs- under a simple global call: Make a difference in your community & contribute to world peace.
