As part of its 15-year milestone, I-Six Logistics and the I-Six Driver Training Academy hosted a road safety session at Ramotswa Centre for the Deaf.

Supported by the Botswana Police Service and Centre staff, students participated in practical roadside safety exercises focused on visual awareness, safe crossing techniques, and traffic interaction.

The session reflected a simple principle:
Road safety training must reach everyone.

Former President Festus Gontebanye Mogae led during a time when Botswana faced the HIV/AIDS crisis with urgency, coordination, and national resolve. His leadership became part of a broader effort that protected lives and strengthened the country’s long-term future.
Late Last year, I-Six Logistics had the honour of supporting the launch of a Book authored by Teri Pheage; Mogae’s Battle for a Nation’s Survival: Inside How Botswana Waged War on HIV/AIDS, a reflection on a defining period of leadership and collective action.
Today, we join the nation in remembering a statesman whose contribution will remain part of Botswana’s institutional history.
Our condolences to his family, friends, and the nation at large.

Tomorrow, I-Six Driver Training Academy will host a pro-bono road safety workshop at the Ramotswa Centre for Deaf Education to help make that experience safer.
Safe crossing techniques.
Visual sign awareness.
Defensive pedestrian habits.
All taught through demonstration and practice, because learners with hearing impairment experience road environments differently. They watch. They adapt. They learn through observation and movement.
In partnership with the Botswana Police Service and the MVA Fund.
We will also be livestreaming portions of the session tomorrow morning.
For us, this is not a campaign. It is part of the work.

Defensive Driving Training March 2026 Intake Complete.

This past weekend, a new group of drivers completed the I‑Six defensive driving programme.

They spent two days on the road, in traffic, behind the wheel, learning emergency stops, evasive maneuvers, and the kind of muscle memory that only real world practice builds.

Then they sat here, in this boardroom, for the final assessment. An accredited assessor reviewing their performance, confirming they meet the BQA standard because that is what makes a certificate more than just paper. No shortcuts. No classroom only credits.

We are finalising dates for the next intake now, but we are keeping the group small to maintain this level of quality. The first 10 confirmed names will get priority when we release dates.

Beyond the Headlines: The Structural Reality of Safety

As reported in the national press this weekend, I-Six Logistics successfully concluded its latest road safety engagement at Rainbow Private School.

While media coverage rightly focused on the community impact, our view is more operational. Road safety is not a one-off exercise. It is a discipline that must be embedded in how organisations train, how they operate, and how they partner with institutions like the Botswana Police Service and the MVA Fund.

At I-Six, we design interventions that build that discipline, whether for a classroom of young learners or a fleet of commercial vehicles. Every engagement, pro bono or otherwise, is delivered to the same professional standard: practical, hands-on, and aligned with the expectations of the institutions that rely on our training.

The Foundation of Discipline

Safety is not an instinct. It is a discipline.

This week, I-Six Logistics partnered with the Botswana Police Service and the MVA Fund at Rainbow Private School to establish the practical protocols required for our youth to navigate Gaborone’s road network with situational awareness.

Sustainable economic growth in Botswana requires more than just physical infrastructure.

It requires a population equipped with the discipline to operate within that infrastructure safely. By investing in our learners today, we are protecting the future drivers and pedestrians of our country.

We are grateful to the Police Service and the Fund Botswana for their institutional support in this engagement.
