Through games, and engaging activities, children will explore the importance of consent, body autonomy, self-respect, in an age-appropriate, empowering, and enjoyable way.

This workshop offers children a fun and supportive environment to learn, play, and grow while building confidence, developing healthy boundaries, and gaining valuable life skills.

T-shirts and books from Creative Consent Culure will be sold shirts during the workshop.

THREADED IN CULTURE 🎨🧵

Join us for the opening of Threaded in Culture, a contemporary art exhibition showcasing the works of Botswana artists Boemo Lunga and Goemeone Modisane. Through thread, mixed media, and painting, the exhibition explores cultural identity, heritage, memory, and the enduring influence of Setswana traditions on contemporary life. The exhibition will be available for viewing until the 3rd of July.

💎 Création Botswana launches Season 2 with a new focus on jewellery design and manufacturing

Alliance Française de Gaborone was delighted to host the official launch of Création Botswana Season 2 on 1 June 2026.

Following the success of the programme's first season dedicated to fashion entrepreneurship, this new chapter will focus on developing Botswana's jewellery design and manufacturing sector through technical training, entrepreneurship support, mentorship, masterclasses, industry exposure, and international exchange opportunities.

The launch brought together government representatives, industry leaders, creative entrepreneurs, programme partners, members of the media, and friends of the programme to celebrate this exciting milestone.

Season 2 is made possible through the partnership between the Embassy of France in Botswana, Lucara Botswana, Alliance Française de Gaborone, KGK Diamonds Botswana, and Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology.

As part of the wider Création Africa initiative, the programme aims to strengthen cultural and creative industries across the continent while creating meaningful connections between African talent and international markets.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch. We look forward to supporting the next generation of Botswana's jewellery designers and manufacturers.

PRESS RELEASE- FRENCH CULTURE DAY SET TO CELEBRATE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE IN MOCHUDI

Alliance Française de Gaborone, with the support of the Embassy of France in Botswana, in collaboration with Stepping Stones International, will host a French Culture Day on Friday, 12 June 2026, at the Stepping Stones International Centre in Mochudi from 14h00- 16h30.

The event will bring together SSI participants, French citizens, educators, diplomats, and government officials for an engaging celebration of French language, culture, cuisine, art, and history.
