After an incredibly competitive selection process, we are proud to announce the two outstanding young leaders who will represent Botswana and Africa at AviaDev Africa 2026:

Rethabile Molatedi
Passionate Lebeko

These two individuals stood out among a pool of exceptional applicants, demonstrating passion, vision, and a strong commitment to the future of aviation.

Passionate Lebeko is a Civil and Environmental Engineering student at Botswana International University of Science & Technology - BIUST , driven by a deep passion for youth development and leadership.

Rethabile Molatedi, a final-year LLB student at University of Botswana_Official (UB), is inspired by the intersection of aviation and law. Her academic journey has already seen her explore Botswana’s Bilateral Air Services Agreements (BASAs), with aspirations to pursue a Master’s in Aviation Law.

This June, they will take to the stage in Gaborone and join the AviaDev team for an immersive, career-shaping experience. If you’re attending, be sure to connect with them they represent the future of African aviation.
