ATTENTION TO ALL NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 📌

27/09/2021

Good evening,

The University of Botswana's Department of Health and Wellness together with the O.I.E.P as well as the National Blood Transfusion Services will be launching a blood drive this upcoming Wednesday. This is an initiative the whole U.B community would be most appreciated if they supported and especially close to the international students community following a recent unfortunate event that led to one international student to be in need of an O Negative blood donor.
This however, does not suggest that any or all other bloody groups are not welcome to show their support!

Thank you, and looking forward to making this event a success!

Good afternoon International students✨
As you may or may have not been aware, the UB SRC elections have been set to take place on Friday the 26th of March 2021. As a committee we would like to remind you that we have a fellow brother who is an international student by the name of Mr Brighton Chinyanya campaigning for the UB SRC minister of sports portfolio. We therefore urge you to go in numbers and support our fellow brother who has served also in the UBISA Executive committee as the student affairs officer. He has accomplished outstanding work under the UBISA Executive committee and we are confident that he'll be an asset to the UB SRC and a representative of the international students' community.
With all that said we urge you to support a fellow international student by voting Brighton Chinyanya.
Thank you.

UBISA T-shirts Project:
Greetings UBISA Community!✨
On the 18th of March 2021, the Executive Committee together with the UBISA community who already have the UBISA T-shirts held a photoshoot with the aim to promote and advertise the newly developed UBISA T-shirts Project. Students are encouraged to place their orders as soon as possible as this belongs to the Association at large.
We would like to extend our utmost gratitude and appreciation to our very own mother, Dr K Hiri-Khudu who took a huge step and showed us great support by getting her own T-shirt👏🏼❤️ and being part of the photoshoot!

We also appreciate our two sisters who gave themselves time and took all the beautiful pictures😊👏🏼✨

Thank you!✨

Good Afternoon!
Following the ongoing pandemic, the University has banned all sorts of student gatherings. This has created quite a number of implications from our side as the Executive as well as the association at large in as far as activities and events are concerned. We had proposed that we will use this semester for events with the hope that the situation would have been much better but it has since proven otherwise hence the banning of all student gatherings. As a committee, we met and agreed that we will need to have country representatives so that we can come up with a strategic plan on how to deal with the implications that were brought by the pandemic. We need individuals to volunteer to represent their country in the strategic planning team. Make sure your country is represented. Kindly inform me through my DM before the end of this week.
We appreciate your cooperation in advance!🙏🏽

Good morning!✨

All students who have not yet collected their Permanent Residence permits are advised to do so as soon as possible to avoid any implications that may be associated with late collection as some of you have expired temporary permits already. You have will go to the immigration offices on your own brothers and sisters, no transport arrangement will be made.

Thank you and a blessed week to you all!✨
