Few days after announcing that people could now move across the country using a two week Pink permit, government has this afternoon announced a suspension of the same -permit. It said the permit will be suspended for one and three days.

This comes after the discovery of another COVID -19 virus case.

Government has resolved to make wearing of the mask in public places compulsory by law.

We are all expected to be wearing a mask once we step outside our respective homes into the public spaces. The good news is that it is permissible for everyone to make their own mask. In fact some people have resorted to just covering their faces with any piece of cloth they find.

The mask is expected to trap COVID-19 virus and any other that can be harmful to a human body. While wearing of the mask is going to assist in keeping the virus at bay, there is a challenge that it [mask] brings along. The challenge is how to take it off without exposing yourself to all the gems and viruses, chiefly COVID-19 that would have been trapped on it [mask] throughout the day.

Where do you touch the mask when you take it off and where do you put it once you are home?

In the next three days, we shall be discussing this seemingly minor but worth noting challenge.

+++ DRAMATIC PARLIAMENT +++

Parliament meeting started at 1400hrs as scheduled and ended hardly 15 minutes into action. Only two MPs had spoken before it came to an end. The two were the Leader of the House, Hon Slumber Tsogwane and Dithapelo Keorapetse.

But what really happened and caused MPs to work for less than 15 minutes? Well, opposition MPs pointed out to the government that it was unfair for them to expect them to debate something that they were not given time to understand. It has turned out that government accepted the wrong hence the postponement of the debate to tomorrow from 0900hrs.

The announcement has been made. Your MPs are once again going to meet at Boipuso Hall tomorrow to discuss serious issues of national interest.

The first session will take place at 1000hrs and another at 1400hrs. As we steel ourselves for the two sessions, we cant help but enjoy the feeling of the posterity memories of MPs' performance in the last session where a distinctive line dividing the Jokers and issue focused MPs emerged like a rainbow at the end of that biblical floods that perched Noah up there as a solo celebrity. The man who saved humanity!

Yes, those memories of the last session just cant stop flashing across many's minds. They have become fodder fro the creative mind. They unleashed an army of informal comedians. Oooh, remember the session was televised live on BTV? That televising of the event may have been as rare as efficiency in many government offices but, it was spectacular.
