🔧 Safety First: Assembling High Voltage Transmission Towers
At E-dga Academy, we don’t just talk about safety — we live it every day on site.
This image shows one of the critical stages in High Voltage construction: the assembly and er****on of transmission towers. Every bolt, every connection, and every worker’s position must be perfect because we’re working with structures that will carry 220kV or 400kV power across Botswana.
Key Safety & Technical Lessons from this activity:

✅ Working at Heights – Proper harnesses, lanyards, and fall protection systems are non-negotiable.
✅ Team Coordination – Clear communication between ground crew, riggers, and tower workers prevents accidents.
✅ Structural Stability – Ensuring the tower is properly guyed and aligned before climbing higher.
✅ PPE Compliance – Hard hats, safety boots, high-visibility clothing, and full-body harnesses must always be worn.
✅ Risk Assessment – Every lift and every climb follows a detailed safe work procedure.
