Glimpse from yesterday’s programme

International Day of Peace is celebrated every year on 21st September. It reminds us of the importance of peace, kindness, friendship and harmony among all people. The theme for 2026 is “Invest in People – For Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday.”
To mark the day, the children took part in a creative peace activity. They made origami doves, a symbol of peace, and drew pictures of doves with their own messages and prayers for peace. Through this activity, the children expressed their hope for a world where everyone can live together without conflict and with love and respect.
Their beautiful messages included:
🕊️ “I pray for no war.”
🕊️ “May the world have peace.”
🕊️ “May peace reach all people living in the world.”
The activity helped the children understand that peace begins with each one of us through kindness, sharing, respect and caring for others.

🌏National Earthquake Mock Drill Day – 21st September 2026

Theme: “Resilience Starts at Home”

Sherubling Central School Campus II observed National Earthquake Mock Drill Day with active participation from our students and staff.

The mock drill provided an important opportunity for everyone to practise what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. Our students learned the importance of staying calm, protecting themselves, following safety instructions, and moving to a safe open area in an orderly manner.

Earthquakes can happen without warning, but preparedness can make a difference. Safety begins with awareness, practice, and readiness—not only at school, but also at home and in our communities.

A heartfelt appreciation to our Disaster Focal Person for coordinating and guiding the mock drill, and to all our teachers, staff, and students for their active participation and cooperation in making the drill meaningful and effective.

Stay prepared. Stay calm. Stay safe.

Sherubling Central School Campus II has successfully wrapped up this year’s Annual School Concert, and what a beautiful celebration it was!

The stage came alive with the incredible talents, confidence, creativity, and hard work of our wonderful students. Every performance reflected countless hours of practice, dedication, teamwork, and the loving support of our teachers and parents.

A heartfelt thank you to all our students, teachers, parents, staff, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes to make this evening so special. Your efforts truly made the night unforgettable. 🙏❤️

Our Democracy Club members proudly delivered thoughtful speeches on the importance of democracy, responsible citizenship, and the value of every vote. Their voices reflected the spirit of young citizens who understand that democracy is not only about voting, but also about participation, responsibility, respect, and making informed choices. ❤️

Through such meaningful activities, we hope to nurture confident and responsible future citizens who will contribute positively to our democracy.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Today marked an important beginning as the teams from Campus I and Campus II came together for our first Coordination and Moderation Meeting after the merger.

The session offered a valuable opportunity to reconnect with our shared vision, mission, values and goals, while also exploring the importance of imagination, creativity and looking beyond what is immediately possible.

Discussions on MAX and ModEx further focused on promoting consistency, fairness and transparency in our professional and assessment practices.

As we continue this new chapter together, the meeting served as a reminder that meaningful progress comes through collaboration, shared responsibility and a common purpose.

What a wonderful way to wrap up National Reading Week!

On the final day, our students proudly shared book reviews and book talks about the books they explored throughout the week. They talked about their favourite stories, characters, lessons learned, and what made each book special to them.

It was heartwarming to see our young readers express their ideas, build confidence, listen to one another, and celebrate the joy of reading.

A big well done to all our students for making this week meaningful, engaging, and full of wonderful stories!

Our National Reading Week, celebrated from 31st August to 4th September, continues with lots of excitement, imagination, and a love for reading!

Our young readers are exploring new stories, discovering new words, sharing ideas, and enjoying the wonderful world of books.

Reading helps children imagine, learn, communicate, think creatively, and understand the world around them. Every page they read is a step towards becoming confident and lifelong learners.

A big thank you to our teachers, students, and parents for making reading a joyful part of our school community.
