EARTHQUAKE MOCK DRILL – DRUK SCHOOL

Druk School conducted an Earthquake Mock Drill on 16 September 2026 to ensure that our students, teachers, and staff are well prepared to respond safely and effectively during an earthquake.

The mock drill provided an opportunity for everyone to practice evacuation procedures, staying calm, following safety instructions, and moving safely to designated areas.

Such drills help build awareness, preparedness, and confidence among our school community, ensuring that everyone knows what to do and how to respond during an earthquake.

Thank you to all our students, teachers, staff, and supporting teams for their active participation and cooperation.

Preparedness today helps us stay safer tomorrow.

Finding Calm Before Exams: A Fun and Mindful Morning with Yoga Yangchen

Today, Wednesday 16th September 2026, our Year 10 students had the privilege of a special session under our *Wellbeing Program* with renowned mindfulness practitioner, Yoga Yangchen.

Held at the MPH Hall from 8:45 AM - 10:15 AM, the session focused on what our students need most right now — learning to manage stress ahead of their upcoming exams.

Yoga Yangchen guided our Class 10s through simple yoga, stretching, and breathing practices that they can use in the classroom and at home when pressure builds. She reminded us that wellbeing is not extra — it is the foundation for learning. The students learned that to be excellent in body, mind, and speech, we must first learn to pause, breathe, and be kind to ourselves.

Our Class 10s left feeling grounded, stretched, and more centered — with practical tools they will carry into their exam preparation. And as an added bonus, they also left with a lot smiles and closer friendships with their classmates!

Our deepest gratitude to Yoga Yangchen for her presence, practice, and compassion. It was an honor to learn from you!

CELEBRATING READING, CREATIVITY & PRODUCTIVE LEARNING!

A big congratulations to our amazing students who earned the Reader of the Month Certificates for August! Your dedication to reading and learning is truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of our young scholars and encourage everyone to join us in congratulating them!

We are also proud to recognize the students who participated in our Summer TikTok Video Challenge during the summer holidays. We highly commend these students for choosing to use their vacation time in a fruitful, meaningful, and creative way. Through this challenge, they demonstrated creativity, time management, confidence, and digital literacy, while turning their screen time into productive learning experiences.

And, of course, teachers who read, inspire! A huge congratulations to our wonderful faculty members who achieved Top Reader Honors. Seeing our educators dedicate their free time to reading, learning, and personal development is a powerful example for our students.

We are equally proud of our incredible teachers who participated in the Summer TikTok Video Challenge. Even during the school break, they chose to spend their holidays in a creative, productive, and engaging way—leading by example and showing our students that learning and fun never have to stop!

Students who read inspire others.
Teachers who read inspire students.

SPELL-TACULAR! SPELL-BINDING! SPECTACULAR!

What a buzzing, thrilling, and absolutely spell-tacular day it was at our Junior School Spelling Bee!

Our brilliant Grade 2 and 3 spellers took the stage with confidence, courage, and incredible word power! Their outstanding spelling skills kept us on the edge of our seats and made today’s competition truly unforgettable!

At the heart of it all was a simple goal: to inspire children to read more, learn more, spell better, and fall in love with words.

A huge WELL DONE to every young speller who stepped up to the challenge! You all made us incredibly proud!

The Classwise Boedra Competition was successfully conducted with the aim of making our students aware of the beautiful culture and traditions we are blessed with, while providing them with a meaningful platform to learn, practise, and appreciate our rich cultural heritage.
