🆙️SHIFT! Our school successful concluded the 3-day UPSHIFT Bootcamp, held from September 11th to 13th!

🆙️SHIFT! Over the course of three dynamic days, our students engaged in immersive, hands-on activities designed to foster critical problem-solving skills, ignite creativity, and spark innovative thinking.

🆙️SHIFT! It was inspiring to witness our young learners collaborate and transform visionary ideas into reality.

🆙️SHIFT! A special note of appreciation goes to our UPSHIFT School Focal Persons, Mr. Kinley Penjor and Ms. Pema Tshomo, whose dedicated coordination ensured the seamless ex*****on of the program.

⚜️ On September 5, 2026, led by our school Scout coordinator Sonam Pelmo, our Class 7 and 8 Nazhoen Scouts actively participated in an intensive Scout Boot Camp held at Yangchenphu Higher Secondary School, Thimphu.⚜️

⚜️Te day-long program focused on fostering leadership, physical endurance, outdoor survival skills, and team cohesion among the young scouts. The event provided an engaging platform for participants to reinforce scouting values, discipline, and community service ethics through a series of practical drills and collaborative activities.⚜️

📢 Staff Orientation on the: “National guideline for Health Promoting schools and Monastic Institutions.”

📢 With the overall aim of promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of students and teachers, while enhancing students’ academic performance and holistic development, a staff orientation on the National Guideline for Health-Promoting Schools and Monastic Institutions was conducted today at Jigme Namgyel School.

📢 The session was facilitated by the Principal, Health Coordinator, and School Counsellor. Staff members were oriented on the eight standards of Health-Promoting Schools, the objectives of the guideline, and the key actions and initiatives required to develop Jigme Namgyel School as a health-promoting school.

📢 The orientation also emphasized the importance of shared responsibility and active collaboration among all members of the school community.

📢 A health-promoting school is everybody’s business; every staff member, student, parent, and stakeholder can contribute to creating a safe, supportive, inclusive, and healthy learning environment.
