Khadar Ceremony for Captains

The school conducted a meaningful Khadar ceremony to appreciate and honor the captains appointed for this academic year. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Gewog Lama, whose blessings added great significance to the occasion.

Lhabsang Ceremony

The school observed a sacred Lhabsang ceremony today to warmly welcome students of classes PP to III. The ceremony was conducted under the coordination of the School Choeten Tshogpa, with the support and guidance of the Gewog Lama.

The Lhabsang Ceremony was performed to purify the school environment and invoke positive energy as the young learners began their academic journey. Through the offering of sang and prayers, blessings were sought for the well-being, happiness, and success of all students and staff.

Patrol Division and School Captain Election

Today marked a meaningful step in the school’s journey toward strengthening leadership and unity. The administration officially adopted the Scout Patrol system, replacing the traditional house structure. This new approach is designed to promote the spirit of scouting, encouraging teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and service among students. From this year onward, all school competitions and activities will be conducted among the four patrols, fostering healthy rivalry and stronger bonds within each group.

The school also held the School Captain election. The exercise was organized to give students a practical experience of voting, helping them understand the importance of leadership choice and preparing them for responsible citizenship in the future. The event was conducted peacefully and responsibly, reflecting the students’ growing sense of maturity and commitment.

Celebrating The Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King

Today, our school proudly celebrated the 46th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King with immense joy, gratitude, and deep reverence. The occasion was graciously attended by the Gewog Gup, Gewog Lama, and respected community members, whose presence made the celebration truly meaningful.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of butter lamps, symbolizing our heartfelt prayers and devotion. A solemn Zhabten was offered for His Majesty’s good health, long life, and continued guidance for the peace and prosperity of our nation. The celebration was further enlivened with vibrant entertainment performances by our students, bringing smiles and creating a memorable experience for all guests.

We remain ever grateful for His Majesty’s selfless service and unwavering dedication to the country and its people.

Driglam Namzha Orientation

The afternoon session featured a Driglam Namzha orientation program aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of Bhutanese etiquette and dress traditions. During the session, the Dzongkha Lopons guided students on the proper way to wear the kabney and rachu, as well as how to correctly dress gho and kira.

The orientation was both educational and practical, helping students appreciate the importance of preserving and practicing national traditions with pride and respect.

Appointment of Officiating Vice Principal

The school community extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Tek Nath Kuikel on his well-deserved appointment as the Officiating Vice Principal.

His selection through a rigorous school-level process, which included staff voting and comprehensive staff feedback, reflects the strong confidence and trust placed in his leadership by his colleagues. Mr. Tek has previously demonstrated his capability and commitment while serving as the Officiating Principal in the absence of the full-fledged Principal. His experience, dedication, and steady leadership make him a most deserving choice for this important role.

Anti-Bullying, Mentor-Mentee Program and Value Orientation

The academic session 2026 commenced on a positive and meaningful note with students and staff gathering together for the morning assembly. The ceremony began with the offering of a butter lamp by the Principal, Vice Principal, and a student representative, symbolizing wisdom, peace, and a bright beginning to the new year.

During the assembly, the school warmly welcomed a new faculty member, Mrs. Deo Maya Tiwari, who was introduced to the students and staff.

The School Well-Being Team conducted an orientation on the Anti-Bullying and the Mentor-Mentee Program, emphasizing the importance of a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

The day concluded with a Value Orientation session for students in the afternoon, guiding them on the core values and expectations for the academic year ahead. Overall, the first day set a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the session 2026.
