A Special Committee for Education from National Council visits School.

A seven member team led by HMP Tshering Tshomo visited the school today.

They were here for a consultative meeting on education related affairs.

October 29, 2024 [Tuesday]

Mr. Kinley Namgyel, Curriculum Specialist, DSE, MoESD visited the school today. He was here for the whole day to assess and seek feedback for the ongoing TVET programmes in the school.

Currently, the school is offering two trades - electrical and welding as an optional subject from classes IX - XII.

Celebrating 25 Years of Scouting Movement in Bhutan.

Punakha Central School, Lekeythang hosted a Scout Exhibition themed “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” celebrating 25 years of scouting coinciding with the International Day of Peace. The event began with a flag ceremony, the national anthem, the scout anthem, and peace messages shared by scout leaders.

At the entrance, attendees were welcomed with Messenger of Peace badges and bookmarks. The exhibition showcased 19 stations featuring scouting skills like rope work, first aid, shelter building, fire types, and trail signs. Other exhibits focused on topics such as nature, waste management, diversity, and topography, along with adventurous activities like jungle survival cooking and camping models.

The exhibition successfully promoted peace, leadership, and scouting principles, offering students hands-on experience and highlighting the scouts' role in fostering peace within the community.

Wishing everyone a joyful International Day of Peace. Let's all strive to be peace builders, no matter our age.
