On January 02, we \successfully carried out initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of transitioning to affordable and clean energy solutions. The community was educated on the benefits of renewable energy sources such as hydropower and solar energy, focusing on both environmental sustainability and economic savings. Residents were empowered with the necessary knowledge and tools to make informed decisions regarding energy use in their homes and businesses. Clean energy alternatives were actively promoted by showcasing their affordability and long-term advantages, particularly in reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Sustainable practices were encouraged to support Bhutan’s national goals of lowering carbon emissions and promoting green development. Furthermore, access to information was increased through workshops, resources, and outreach programs, enabling the community to integrate renewable energy solutions into their daily lives.

On March 9, 2025, in recognition of the urgent need for climate action, the G17 Climate Change Ambassador led an awareness program on climate change alongside 40 student. The one-hour session focused on the causes, impacts, and solutions to this global crisis, encouraging discussions on the role individuals can play in mitigating climate change. After the session, BE 2IT CR Choney Rangdol shared his thoughts, emphasizing the importance of collective action for a sustainable future.

The theme of the day centered around "Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future," highlighting the crucial role young minds play in addressing climate challenges. This initiative aligned with SDG 13: Climate Action, inspiring students to be more environmentally responsible and contribute to a greener, more resilient planet.

On March 15, 2025, a team of 50 dedicated students from CST successfully carried out a hedge plantation and campus cleaning initiative to promote a greener and cleaner environment. This effort aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 14: Life Below Water, which focuses on reducing pollution and protecting aquatic ecosystems, and SDG 15: Life on Land, which emphasizes biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management. As part of the "Healthy Food, Healthy Future: A Nutrition Awareness Campaign," I displayed three vibrant posters at Druk School, Thimphu, to raise awareness about healthy eating habits among tuition students. These posters conveyed essential tips such as choosing nutritious foods, watching portion sizes, and starting the day with a balanced meal.

The display was creatively set up with an engaging and colorful design to capture attention and effectively communicate the message. This initiative aims to encourage children to adopt healthier food habits and spread awareness within their families and communities.

This activity aligns with the broader goal of combating malnutrition and promoting balanced diets, supporting the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger. By educating young minds, we hope to inspire positive, long-term changes in dietary habits and overall well-being.

Report on Awareness Campaign for Reduced Inequalities in Collaboration with FABLab

Inequality remains one of the most pressing global issues, affecting access to resources, opportunities, and quality of life for billions of people. In response to this challenge, an awareness campaign was organized in collaboration with FABLab, aimed at fostering dialogue and innovation to reduce inequalities within communities. The campaign focused on raising awareness about the causes and impacts of inequality, promoting equitable access to opportunities, and fostering collaboration to create technology-driven solutions for inclusivity. It was held at FABLab at college of science and technology for those who were doing winter internship programme.

FABLab played a critical role in the campaign by providing access to advanced tools, resources, and technical expertise. Through hands-on workshops, participants were empowered to create innovative solutions addressing inequality, such as assistive devices for people with disabilities and low-cost educational tools.
