The Final Year ICE students have commenced their On-the-Job Training (OJT) from 1st December to 21st February. This program represents a crucial component of their academic curriculum, offering immersive hands-on industrial exposure and practical insight into real-world engineering practices.
Students have been placed for field attachment at the following reputed organizations:

The OJT experience is designed to strengthen technical proficiency, enhance professional skills, and prepare students for future industry challenges through experiential learning.

Control Systems – Mini Project Exhibition ✨

Third-year ICE students showcased their mini project prototypes as part of the assessment for the Control Systems module.

Each group presented creative concepts on smart and automated systems, reflecting their technical knowledge, innovative thinking, and practical application of control principles to real-world challenges.

Mini Project Exhibition: Instrumentation Systems ✨

The second year ICE & ECE students proudly presented their mini project prototypes, showcasing innovative designs and practical applications developed as part of the Instrumentation System module. Each project reflected their creativity, technical understanding, and problem-solving skills — focusing on real-life engineering challenges and smart solutions.

The exhibition not only highlighted students’ hands-on learning and teamwork but also encouraged them to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical implementation, fostering innovation and a spirit of applied engineering.

Industrial Day tour — Kinjore Brewery 🏭

The Final year students ICE embarked on a day tour to Kinjore Brewery at Pasakha, Phuentsholing as part of the learning outcomes for the modules Process Control and Industrial Drives.

The visit provided valuable exposure to real-world industrial automation, control systems, and drive applications — connecting theoretical knowledge with practical industrial operations ✨

✨ICE Research Projects 2025

The final-year students of ICE presented their 2025 research projects, demonstrating innovation and problem-solving skills. Four groups presented their work, highlighting research interests in automation, robotics, biomedical engineering, and instrumentation.

The projects not only reflect the students’ academic dedication but also underline the vital role of ICE in developing solutions that address real-world engineering challenges.

🏭Industrial Tour — Enhancing Practical Knowledge through Multisectoral Exposure

As part of their academic curriculum , the final year ICE students went for industrial tour. This initiative aimed to deepen their practical understanding by engaging with diverse industries and advanced technological applications.
The tour included visits to key organizations and facilities, providing valuable insights into various engineering domains:

✈️ Paro International Airport: Insight into instrumentation, control systems, and operational logistics in aviation
🥛 Serkha Dairy: Analysis of automation and quality control in dairy processing
⚡ Chukha Hydropower Plant, DGPC: Comprehensive understanding of hydroelectric power generation and plant operations
🤖 Bhutan Automation: Exposure to cutting-edge industrial automation and control systems

An orientation session for ICE programme was held today, welcoming students from first-year to final-year.

The Programme Leader delivered an insightful presentation outlining the vision, structure, and key strengths of the ICE programme. Emphasis was placed on the importance of automation, real-time control systems, and advanced instrumentation in modern engineering.
