On 2nd September, the student body, consisting of the LLB, PGDNL, GDLS and LLM students and a few faculty members of JSW Law gathered together in a solemn display of regional solidarity following the tragic Nepal floods. United by deep grief over the loss of life, students, faculty, and staff organized a collective prayer assembly on at the Sherab Lhakhang today.

Together, they recited sacred prayers for the victims. The gathering offered chants and silence for the peaceful rest of the departed, strength for grieving families, and safety for those affected.

Reflecting JSW Law’s commitment to empathy and community, the vigil served as a heartfelt tribute to their neighbors across the Himalayas during a time of immense sorrow.

May those who lost their lives find peace, and may those who are still greiving find the courage to move on.

Blood Donation Drive | 1st September 2026

On 1st September 2026, a team from JDWNRH, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society Club of the Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, successfully organized a blood donation drive.

Around 90 faculty members, staff, and students came forward to voluntarily donate blood, demonstrating their compassion and willingness to help those in need. The program was held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and was a great success.

The event truly reflected the spirit of compassion, solidarity, and the willingness of people to support one another through meaningful acts of service. Every donation can make a difference and potentially save a life.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who took part in this noble initiative and look forward to more opportunities like this in the future!

A Night of Gratitude and Celebration

On August 28, the Class of 2031, GDLS, and PGDNL of the JSW School of Law hosted a vibrant Return Show for their seniors as a gesture of appreciation for the warm welcome show organised for them.

The evening was filled with beautiful cultural performances, fun activities, laughter, and enthusiastic cheers from the audience. The seniors were brought into the spotlight through engaging games and activities, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

The energy, creativity, and effort put into the event were evident throughout, making it a truly memorable and joyous evening. More than a celebration, the Return Show was a beautiful reflection of the camaraderie and sense of community among the students of the JSW School of Law.

Lawless Friday (14th August, 2026)

JSW Law came alive with excitement and celebration during Lawless Friday, a special Freshers’ Night organised to warmly welcome the first-year students, PGDNL students, LLM/MLS students, and Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies students to the college.

The four senior classes came together to make the evening a memorable one, bringing energy, laughter, performances, and plenty of fun to the occasion. It was a night where new students had the opportunity to meet their seniors, make new friends, and experience the vibrant spirit of the JSW Law community.

Beyond the celebrations, Lawless Friday marked the beginning of a new chapter for our newest members. The evening reflected the sense of camaraderie, belonging, and community that makes life at JSW Law special.

With unforgettable moments, shared laughter, and new connections, Lawless Friday was more than just a Freshers’ Night, it was the beginning of a journey together.
