Our school successfully observed National Earthquake Mock Drill Day alongside the International Day of Peace today. The joint event focused on the national and global themes, "Resilience Starts at Home" and "Invest in Peace โ€” For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day," emphasizing that physical safety and a harmonious environment go hand-in-hand.

The annual mock drill serves to commemorate the devastating 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck eastern Bhutan on September 21, 2009. In line with national disaster reduction mandates, the school initiated this simulation to test emergency readiness, evaluate response protocols, and reinforce a culture of proactive safety.

Following thorough preparation, the student body executed the vital "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" safety technique immediately upon the sounding of the emergency alarm. Safe, disciplined evacuation procedures were then carried out to designated assembly points.
Respective student-and-staff response unitsโ€”including the Search and Rescue, First Aid, and Logistics teamsโ€”took up their post positions. They conducted briefings and practical demonstrations to ensure the campus is fully prepared to handle actual emergency contingencies.
In alignment with the International Day of Peace, the school community dedicated time to reflect on the global need for harmony and stability. Students were reminded that building true disaster resilience relies on a community rooted in cooperation and peace.
The administration commends all students, faculty members, and coordinators for their exemplary cooperation, discipline, and commitment during todayโ€™s successful exercise. Through regular practice, we continue to strive toward a safer, more resilient learning environment.

Today, Class 7 students enjoyed an exciting outdoor cooking session led by our Scout Unit Leaders.
Under their guidance, the students learned the art of backwoodsmanโ€™s cookingโ€”preparing meals with simple outdoor techniques over an open fire.

The activity not only taught them practical survival skills but also teamwork, patience, and creativity in the great outdoors. From chopping to cooking and finally tasting their delicious creations, our young scouts were full of energy and enthusiasm!

A big thank you to our Scout Unit Leaders for guiding and inspiring the students. This was truly an unforgettable learning experience that combined fun, skill, teamwork, and adventure in the great outdoors!
