📚 Outdoor Reading for a Stronger Reading Culture

As part of promoting a vibrant reading culture in the school, students and staff participated in an outdoor reading session today. Everyone chose a peaceful place of their liking around the campus and spent half an hour immersed in reading.

The activity reminded us that reading does not need a special place or a fixed time. A book can be enjoyed anywhere — under a tree, on a bench, in the playground, or beside friends. What truly matters is taking the time to read and develop the habit.

Such initiatives help nurture curiosity, imagination, knowledge, and a lifelong love for reading among our learners.

The school successfully conducted an Inter-Class Story Retelling Competition among students of Grades IV, V, and VI. The event aimed to enhance students’ speaking skills, creativity, confidence, and understanding of stories.

Students enthusiastically participated and beautifully retold stories with expression, voice modulation, and imagination. It was a wonderful platform for them to showcase their communication skills and love for storytelling.

We are proud of all the participants for their active involvement and commendable performances. Special appreciation goes to the winners and all class teachers for their continuous support and guidance.

The Teachers’ Day celebration organised by our captains was not only wonderful and memorable, but also deeply thoughtful and meaningful.

After discussing with all the class captains, they decided to use the remaining funds from the celebration to purchase and donate sanitary pads and soaps to the school. This kind gesture reflects their sense of responsibility, care, and compassion for the wellbeing of fellow students.

We are truly proud of our student leaders for turning a celebration into an opportunity to give back to the school community. Their thoughtful initiative is an inspiring example of kindness and leadership in action.

A New Club- DAISAN

Officials from RENEW’s regional office in Bumthang conducted an orientation programme today to introduce DAISAN (Druk Adolescents Initiative for Sexual Awareness Network) in the school. The programme aimed at creating awareness among students and and club coordinators and guiding them on the importance and objectives of the club.

Following the orientation, a new DAISAN club was officially formed in the school to promote peer learning, awareness, and positive youth engagement. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the officials from RENEW’s Bumthang regional office for their valuable guidance and support.

Staff Professional Development Programme

Today, our staff actively participated in a day-long training programme focused on strengthening digital systems and academic planning for the school year 2026.

The sessions included training on:

The training programme was facilitated by Mr. Tshewang Dorji, whose guidance and support greatly enriched the learning experience for the staff.

In addition, the Literary Coordinator briefed the staff on the school’s READ Plan for the academic year 2026, highlighting important strategies and activities to strengthen the reading culture within the school.

The programme provided valuable learning opportunities and enhanced staff preparedness, collaboration, and commitment towards delivering quality education and effective school management.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Tshewang Dorji for facilitating the training and all staff members for their active participation and dedication towards continuous professional growth.
