Reflection on the National Scout Jamboree Camp.

My name is Pema Tshering from Tash*thang Middle Secondary School. Participating in the National Scout Jamboree Camp was a wonderful and memorable experience. During the camp, I learned many valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, and self-reliance. I made new friends from different schools and districts and enjoyed sharing ideas and experiences with them.

The various activities helped me build confidence and develop a stronger sense of responsibility. The camp also taught me the importance of cooperation, respect, and service to others. I am grateful to my school, teachers, and the organizers for giving me this opportunity. This jamboree has inspired me to become a better scout and a more responsible citizen.

Reflection Report on the 7-Day National Scout Jamboree

My name is Bepana Rai, a Class 10 student of Tash*thang Middle Secondary School. I was honored to represent my school at the 7-Day National Scout Jamboree held at the Scout Centre, Paro.
We reported to the camp on 23 May and pitched our tents in our respective sub-camps. The first two days were dedicated to camp setup and preparations for the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Education Minister Lyonpo Yeezang D. Thapa as the Chief Guest. Scout leaders, chairpersons, and representatives from several foreign countries attended the event, creating an inspiring atmosphere for all participants.
Throughout the jamboree, we participated in a wide range of activities. We were divided into 14 groups for adventure-based activities such as zip-lining, the Tarzan rope, tyre balancing, tyre wall climbing, and other challenging tasks.
These activities strengthened our teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. We also took part in community service activities, including paddy cultivation and cleaning various lhakhangs, which taught us the importance of serving our communities and preserving our cultural heritage.
Another memorable event was the Fancy Parade Competition among the sub-camps, which promoted unity, discipline, and creativity. The closing ceremony was again graced by Hon’ble Education Minister Lyonpo Yeezang D. Thapa and scout representatives from different countries.
Representing my school at the National Scout Jamboree was a great privilege and a valuable learning experience. I gained new knowledge, practical scouting skills, and lasting friendships with scouts from different schools and countries. The jamboree helped me become more confident, responsible, and committed to the values of scouting. I am grateful to my school for giving me this opportunity and will strive to apply the lessons learned in my future activities.

Tash*thang MSS successfully conducted HAT program on 23rd of May.

Objectives of the HAT Program
The HAT program aims to:
• Strengthen caregivers’ skills to communicate openly and positively with adolescents.
• Promote the mental health and emotional well‑being of adolescents by reducing risk‑taking behaviours such as substance use and self‑harm.
• Equip parents with practical strategies to support their children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
Importance of the Program
Adolescence is a critical period when young people face various social, emotional, and academic pressures. The HAT program helps parents create a supportive home environment, detect early signs of distress, and respond constructively, thereby reducing conflict and isolation and promoting healthier family relationships. Strong family engagement is shown to improve school performance, mental health, and overall well‑being among students.
